The page is out of date. The recent history, including the descent to the lowest level (3rd Division), the local mayor's attempt to promote a 'new project' in another, smaller local club, and the fans' rejection of this is of some interest I think. See http://www.worldsoccer.com/features/rebirth_of_oviedo_features_67151.html.
I am happy to translate over from the Spanish, but have not edited here and it might look silly. And I think that the Asturian translation of the club name is unnecessary. The club is called Real Oviedo, see the official club site and the main fan site http://www.oviedin.com . The Asturian version does not appear on Spanish wikipedia either
Professional?
[edit]Is this a professional team in a professional league? If so, should not this be disclosed in the lead paragraph for non-footballers? "The lead should be capable of standing alone as a concise overview of the article, establishing context, summarizing the most important points, explaining why the subject is interesting or notable, and briefly describing its notable controversies, if there are any." and "The subject should be placed in a context with which many readers could be expected to be familiar." from Wikipedia:Lead section. This lead paragraph needs better context for non-footballers, or even for football fans who are not familiar with Spanish football. --Bejnar (talk) 15:52, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
They are a professional side, currently playing in a semi-professional league —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.136.33.75 (talk) 20:48, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
