Merge proposal
[edit]I proposed the merge. My rationale for a merge is based on two points:
- The three vans are essentially the same vehicle, only with different names/badges.
- The articles repeat much of the same information, and most of the information that's unique to one article (e.g., the comments about the styling in the Opel & Nissan articles) could easily be repeated in the others, and it seems silly to maintain all three articles in step.
I think this should be merged into this article as the van was designed by Renault. Plus there is the continuity of name with the older Renault Trafic (which would demand its own article anyway) - but there is no older Vivaro or Primastar. (Sorry, I didn't add this in the first place, but the database was locked on me!)

- I somewhat (not very strongly ;-) disagree with the merge proposal because the Vivaro is only related to the present Trafic, and the older generations are already somewhat hidden in the article. I suppose I'd be satisfied with the merge if we could also drag out some pics of the older Trafics. – Kieran T (talk) 00:51, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
Changed the article and need some help
[edit]I've changed the article, placing the "prior versions" first. I need help with the pictures and infobox of this particular section. It stretches into the next section of the article (my first edit, sorry.) Also i've changed the label on some of the photos. The mention "first generation" has been replaced by "third generation", witch is what they really are. There were two previous generations of the model, who's front resembled more the first Espace look. There was a larger variation in the second model, know as "master". I'm trying to get pictures.Southwestsoul (talk) 13:48, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Uses and body types
[edit]I think there should be a section about the various body styles that were produced- such as hi-roofs, minibus, etc. Chevymontecarlo (talk) 13:26, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Fiat Scudo successor to be based on the Renault Trafic III
[edit]I spotted these articles who mentionned then the Fiat Scudo successor will be based on the Renault Trafic in 2016. http://www.worldcarfans.com/114080179113/fiat-scudo-successor-to-be-based-on-the-renault-trafic http://www.businesscar.co.uk/news/2014/fiats-next-generation-scudo-to-be-based-on-renault-trafic --Sd-100 (talk) 18:56, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
Generation codes
[edit]In 5 August 2014 User:OSX added the codes X82 for the third generation and X83 for the second generation. Now when User:91.250.171.150 and User:Britmax switched it to a more logical chronological order (X82 for 2nd generation and X83 for 3rd generation), maybe we would need some sources for those codes? And maybe a code for the first generation, if there is one. ⛐Boivie (talk) 12:38, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
- After some searching, I found one source: http://renaultconcepts.online.fr/ressources/codes/codes-x00.htm ⛐Boivie (talk) 13:23, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
More sources:
- Some parts merchants: https://www.firstautoparts.com.au/renault/trafic https://aerpro.com/vehicles/renault/renault-trafic-2014-x82
- User manual for the third generation (X82 code in the url): https://gb.e-guide.renault.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/eng/X82/Trafic-1120-10_ENG.pdf
- Renault 2004 Annual Report, page 22, says "The Trafic/Primastar/Vivaro panel van, code-named X83, has been produced jointly with GM at the Vauxhall plant in Luton, U.K. since 2001 under four brands (Opel/Vauxhall, Renault and Nissan)." https://group.renault.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/renault_-_2004_annual_report.pdf
Is there any source for the view User:91.250.171.150 and User:Britmax are trying to push into the article? ⛐Boivie (talk) 14:05, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
- I am not trying to push any view into the article. I am asking that if you change the article you put a source in the article, rather than simply saying that "this is what everyone thinks" in an edit summary. I do not speak for anyone else. Britmax (talk) 15:29, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
- I didn't try to change the article in the first place, I only wanted to undo the incorrect changes User:91.250.171.150 made last week. Even though I wasn't totally sure they were incorrect at that time, I only assumed that after some googling. ⛐Boivie (talk) 16:32, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
- I would suggest that you put that in your edit summary, and put whatever source you use into the article. Britmax (talk) 09:38, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
- I would suggest that you User:Britmax fix the mess you made by putting incorrect source-less information into the article. ⛐Boivie (talk) 10:47, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
