This page is mostly repetitious information that is already included on the SETI page here. Suggest we verify the reliability and accuracy of the minor additional information and its references, then merge anything of consequence into the SETI page. I do not feel qualified to verify these sources myself. WestonEdits (talk) 17:40, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
- I have done some research on the topic. There are several research papers and articles focused on the Rio Scale and the information gathered, not already published here or here, in my opinion justifies an article. For example:
- it's somehow a controversial scale (at least in its first version) and several papers explain why;
- papers propose revisions to the scale;
- papers provide more formal (mathematical) definitions of it.
- So, despite the fact that the article has been created and redirected several times over the years, I think that the new information available today justifies an article. The current stub can be expanded, covering topics that the above articles do not mention. Actually, all the articles that mention the topic, could do it briefly and add a link to this article. ► LowLevel73 (talk) 15:48, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
Correct name
[edit]According to the document that introduces the latest version of the Rio scale (currently: 2.0), it's called simply "Rio scale", where "scale" is lowercase because it isn't part of the proper name of the scale. The article has been renamed/moved accordingly. ► LowLevel73 (talk) 19:25, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
