Conflict
[edit]There is conflicting information here, specifically birth city. The Fact Box gives the birth city as Amsterdam, NY; however, the Early Life paragraph states: 'The son of Italian immigrants and born in Sasso di Castalda (Potenza) in Italy,' as if to say Petrone was born in Italy. Can someone with both a direct knowledge of this subject and even a slight grasp of how conjunctions such as 'and' work care to clarify? Grammarcop1 (talk) 20:33, 25 June 2013 (UTC)
- In the meantime, I've temporarily changed the Fact Box birth city to 'Parts Unknown', since it's really no different in terms of amount of knowledge given as it is now that is potentially incorrect. Grammarcop1 (talk) 20:36, 25 June 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, poppycock! I've changed the 'Fact' Box back to cite Amsterdam, New York, as the birth city, as the article in the Washington Post cites the same. I've removed the incorrect part of the sentence in the Early Life paragraph. What is puzzling is that the incorrect information cited previously could have been avoided had the proper cite, specifically one that had already been used four other times in this article, been used for this elementary information. We can thank the ever-so-encyclopeadic Wikipedia for mistake. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/08/30/AR2006083003221.html 63.118.154.94 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 20:44, 25 June 2013 (UTC)
