Article out of date

[edit]

I feel this article is rather out of date. The Local elections were not conducted under electronic voting[1], and the Tallymen remain in full force in Ireland as of today's general election count[2]. Uberalex 10:19, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Limited definition, limited tagging

[edit]
  • The definition given ("A tally is an unofficial private observation of an election count carried out under Proportional Representation using the Single Transferable Vote.") is rather narrow and untrue. A tally is both the procedure and the result of counting votes, not limited to the constraints of the above definition, which, besides, is unsourced and unreferenced. I've added another tag.
  • The tag used (This article needs additional citations for verification) is lacking. Why "additional", when there's not even a single citation?
