It would make sence if this was to be merged with the "Second Wave of Punk" article --Hamburgler343 03:11, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

- no, no, and no. The spawn of hardcore is not directly equal to the second wave of punk. Spuderoony 16:56, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to say I was a punk in the 80s and I never heard of ANYTHING called UK82 till I started reading the internet recently!!! We called it HARDCORE!! Looks like the Hardcore Punk artical has been taken over by US hardcore...!!

Hi, One of the wierd things about life is that music critics can invent new names for music, and then their new name can become more widely-used that the names actually used when a music was being first written and recorded. The same thing happens in films, as well. In the 1940s, no directors thought "I'm going to make a film noir movie". They thought "I'm gonna make a low-budget gangster thriller" or "I'm gonna make a detective flick about a lonely, bitter ex-cop". But decades later, film critics decided that all these movies were film noir movies.OnBeyondZebrax (talk) 19:04, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest that this article be merged with the street punk entry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aryder779 (talkcontribs) 16:25, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
