Oromo
In addition to copyediting, the subject of this article needs clarification. I have seen "Waaq" (alternately "Waaqa") used as the name of the supreme deity in the Oromo religion. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 18:24, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
- The Somali (ethnicity) article says Waaq is a "Cow [not crow] God." -- Gyrofrog (talk) 18:53, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
Merge from Wak
I propose that we merge the Wak article to this one, although there isn't much (if anything) to merge. The only reason I didn't simply go ahead and redirect "Wak" to this article is because "Wak" specifies Uganda and Somaliland, neither of which are mentioned in this article (there used to be a mention of a Somali context, but it was removed due to lack of attribution). I want to make sure we are not missing anything, and make sure we merge anything that does need to be moved. However, the "Wak" article lacks any attribution; this is the first I had heard of the Ugandan context. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 19:39, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
- Done. "Wak" now redirects to "Waaq." User:Babbage, who created the Wak article, left a note on my talk page ([1]) agreeing with the merge. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 21:53, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
