According to Catholic Encyclopedia (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/15628a.htm), his feast day was July 13 until it fell out of use. November 8 was chosen because it was open, not because it has any significance to the saint's life.

The Orthodox Church apparently commemorates both (despite the Nov 8 date being a modern Roman Catholic innovation). --68.60.154.213 (talk) 21:58, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
