The Tortured Poets Department is the 11th studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was released on April 19, 2024. An expanded version of the album, named The Anthology, was released not long after.

The Tortured Poets Department has 16 songs,[1] with The Anthology having 31.[2] Most of them were co-written by Swift and Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner.[1] All of the albums songs were produced with Antonoff and Dessner.[3] Many of the songs in the album are about Swift's life and public image.[4][5]

Release

The album was announced on February 4, 2024 during the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.[6] The Tortured Poets Department was released on April 19, 2024. The expanded version, The Anthology, released two hours later.[2] The album was well received[7] and sold well, selling over two million units by July 2024.[8]
