Ryōichi Tobe

In this Japanese name, the family name is Tobe.

Ryōichi Tobe (1948 - ) is a Japanese scholar specializing in pre-war Japanese military and diplomatic history.

He received a PhD from Kyoto University in 1992. His dissertation advisor was Masataka Kōsaka.

Tobe worked as a professor at the National Defense Academy of Japan from 1976 to 2009, and the International Research Center for Japanese Studies from 2009 to 2014.
