    About me

    • Regrettably have an academic background in the humanities with some hard science minors and knick-knack certificates jumbled in
    • My username is completely random; I am neither 15 y.o. old nor was born in 1915. I don't remember for sure what the rationale might have been
    • Originally came here to carefully counter (perceived) POV pushing in various corners and yet ended up with a sincere interest for the project at large
You tell me which of these two I am... Hoping for the best!
      • Please note that I have never had problems with productive and good-faith users of a left-wing persuasion working in their countless areas of demonstrable expertize, but sure am allergic to tendentious editing of all varities when it comes to mine
      • I have currently shifted my focus exclusively on politics; a return to mostly academic topics and WikiGnome business is, however, almost inevitable
      • It might be better to state that I "returned here" as my en.wiki acc was already aged some 6 years when I actually started editing... In light of the brutal — and to this day entirely unexplained — sock ban that had been (unsuccessfully) leveled against me for some 23 days until my supposed puppet master unwittingly sacrificed themself on my behalf,[1][2] I now realize that I should have probably not acted on the impulse: "Hey, cool, my password manager says I apparently used to have an account way back. That'll make me look real senior!", and — though not without declaring this — started fresh instead
    • After updating some banner shells and going through various categories, I am now the conflicted "owner" of a watchlist with ~5000 moving parts. I'm quite convinced that this will cost me dearly in the end :)

    Internal policy takes

    • I am very much in favor of placing each and every politically controversial article out of reach for IP editors and newcomers under WP:30/500. On the one hand, this helps keep WP:LOUTSOCKS and ban evaders at bay, while on the other hand also benefiting the many would-be regulars that are currently often sanctioned right off the bat for coming in guns blazing. More than just the post-1992 politics content area should be affected
