About me
Hello! I'm Coderenius (my username only). I'm definitely excited about contributing to articles that are either stubs or otherwise lie within my areas of interest.
My first edit was to Chios Strait. Before had I edited it, it had but one sentence. Since I was born in İzmir and visit Turkey annually (in the summer months), especially the Aegean Region, I knew I could contribute to this article. I was quite satisfied when I was done, though it really wasn't much and merely opened the gates to a flood of contributions to come. So check it out if you wish! I plan to expand upon it one day, especially now that I have experienced the pleasure of dipping across the Strait and visiting the beautiful island itself.
Considering you've read this far, please leave a message for me of any sort. Understand that at this point, the only way I can improve as a contributor is through discussion and collaboration. Thank you for your time and for visiting my page! More info in the userboxes below, and remember, leave a section on my talk page, I would certainly be pleased to meet you.
My work
I am a student, actively studying from around mid-late August until the end of June. This is the period of time when my activity will decrease greatly, limited to a few minor edits now and then. Do not expect immediate replies or lots of new pages, as I will mostly be editing pages in need of minor fixes, or those that I have already significantly contributed to (or created/resurrected).
If you would like to know more about my user page itself, I liked the design that the user info template uses (though it's usually only used by WMF people), so I decided to adopt it for my user page.
I am a member of WikiProject Turkey, and if you would like to join, or have a remote knowledge of the Turkish language or culture then I encourage you to do so. Everyone is welcome. I am also a member of WikiProject Miami, but I haven't edited too many Miami-related articles since most of them are already in quite good condition. Since I do live in South Florida, being able to speak Spanish would obviously be a very useful skill – one I continue to improve upon.
Disclaimer: Though I hope that one day I will be able to fulfill all the goals outlined on my to-do list, I am currently maintaining a lowered level of sporadic activity. At this point, I am primarily continuing to contribute by undertaking WikiGnome-type tasks.
Contact
You may contact me on my talk page. Note that if you notify me of anything on my talk page, I will be happy to give a thorough reply. However, if I left a message on your talk page, I should be able to reply to you in a timely fashion, even though I don't like adding talk pages to my watchlist as it adds unnecessary clutter and is hard to manage. That's why I use a little box at the bottom of this page ("Users I know") instead, and I also always expect you to ping me if I ever leave you a message on your talk page. On the list: even though I don't see any live updates, if I leave a message for you I will know who you are and will add you to the list so that I can return there at any time. If you wish, you can add your name to the page if you don't see it there :)
Nothing annoys this user more than when a teacher says that Wikipedia isn't reliable and that anybody can enter anything completely untrue that'll stay.
On 25 August 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Özdere, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the population of the small Turkish town of Özdere can reach nearly 100,000 in the summer due to its popularity with tourists? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Özdere. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
Coderenius, congrats for your current achievement in bringing up so early a WPTR-related article to GA-status. Very great job. You deserve this award. Keep it up! The WPTR community is proud of you and expects that you come up with more GA- and FA-status articles in the near future. CeeGee 07:55, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
Users I know
If you find your username inside this collapsable box, then it means I have met you on Wikipedia somehow. Cheers!
These tasks will not be completed immediately. Expect years for all these to be completed. After these tasks are completed I will spend the rest of my time on Wikipedia copyediting many WP:TR, WP:MIAMI, and music-related articles that fall within my interests/knowledge – for example, articles in the realm of grime music. In addition, I'll be adding my best images to WP:TR articles, welcoming new users, keeping my current supporters in touch and helping them if ever in need, and of course, improving and tagging articles in need of rescue. On Wikimedia Commons, I would like to contribute quality, featured, and valued images of locations in Turkey.
