EB1911 links
[edit]See the library for original EB volumes.
- Other old-style markup
- Update-EB: someone needs to fix EB text
- Include-eb: basically sound, but could usefully have 1911 text added to it
- Ni-eb was deleted and has no redlinks in main space. It meant seriously deficient, and could be improved with a transfusion of 1911 text.
Section order
[edit]Header and footer order are here: MOS:ORDER.
Language templates
[edit]foo (de) bar: foo (German: Fü) bar.
foo de bar: foo Fü bar.
Fü () bar: Fü (German for 'foo') bar.

Wikisource proofreading and usage

Transclusion
[edit]Worked example:
<pages index="EB1911 - Volume 15.djvu" include="474" onlysection="John of Beverley, St"/> smallrefs
"include" can be replaced by "from/to". Consider the use of
, and
. Example:

Also see Bocland.
Editing notes
[edit]In page space, note the use of Bookland, text, and Folkland. Also remember Anna Carolina Paues and . Headers should be like:

although the current code pre-loads this:
{{rh|n||n}}
Note to self: I changed straight quote to curly quote up to and including Dec 30, 2014 (1/193). After that, apostrophe as indicated on WS:MOS. Started review at vol 7 page 845 edited late December, got to 864. Need to continue then look at other ranges.
Images
[edit]First search for the image on commons. It may have been uploaded for other reasons. If not, make a screen capture to a PNG. The filename doesn't matter at this stage, but for the uploaded name use EB1911-<title> or EB1911-<title>-n (for the nth image). Use the "Image" tab in Page space, because this can be magnified without introducing aliasing artifacts.
Upload to Commons, and add acknowledgement to comments. Custom date is 1911 unless otherwise specified. Also find an image-specific category. After upload, edit to include PD-Britannica and PD-old-70-1923, which adds to and . Also include .
To use, include with . Insert that just before (after)? the first word that appears at the side of the image in the original. I forget how to make it not cause a paragraph break; for now, put it at the start of a para.
