Request for Bot Approval
[edit]I have a current RFB, which can be found at WP:RFB and can be viewed here.
Bot Purpose
[edit]Monitor Special:newpages for spam, using a points system for ranking articles. It then either nominates using WP:PROD, or WP:SPEEDY depending on how sure it is. I am currently working on new features.
Unsure Spam
[edit]Articles the bot is unsure about have the template Template:IdentifiedSpam added to them. This places them in the Suspected Spam Articles category.
Miscellaneous Information
[edit]- Programming Language: Java
- Framework: Customized JWBF (jwbf.sourceforge.net)
- Amount of edits: No more than once every 5 seconds
- Bot schedule: I will only run the bot while I am there, and due to my timezone when I am online is not usually peak times.
- Internal error: If the program has an internal error it will immediately stop updating/reading pages, and show me the error.
