DFEX (dˈiːfˈɛks; born July 9, 1999) is a faceless American musician and composer based in Temecula, California [1]. His works span a variety of genres including classical, EDM, pop, rock, and film. DFEX creates narratives in his albums, telling dark and dramatic stories of fictional backgrounds[1].

Originally known as spaceman, DFEX changed his name due to the sheer number of artists using this name, wanting to have a more unique presence in the music industry.

Early life and education

DFEX grew up in Temecula, California. He is a self taught guitarist and learned to play the trumpet during his middle school years. He graduated from Temecula Valley High School in 2017.

Odyssey

[edit]

Odyssey was DFEX's first single released August 10, 2023[2]. Originally released under the name "spaceman". The song still contains the beat tag spaceman in the intro.

Mother

Mother was DFEX's second release dated August 12, 2023.[3]

Leviathan

[edit]

Leviathan was DFEX's third release (August 20, 2023[4]) and first release using the name DFEX. This is also the first release using his own record label, Ghosted Records.
