This page will serve as the nexus for resources concerning writing a biographical article on Wikipedia concerning the life of the Venerable Father Pio Bruno Lanteri, founder of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary. This work is undertaken by me (an Oblate Novice in 2013–2014) and other novices and professed members of the community, relying on a rich history of scholarship in this area by our own members and the sources they used. Please participate in the working draft at will.

- We hope to get this article out in all of the Romance languages (Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French) and German - these languages are spoken in the Congregation, in addition to English. Eventually Filipino would be nice, too.

[edit]- brunolanteri.org English site with biographical information, images, contact form for "favors received"
- piobrunolanteri.org (in Italian) Italian site with brief biography and history of the Oblates; access to an online original-language transcription of Lanteri's various writings.
- lantericenter.org bio and history of the OMV
- oblati.org (in Italian) short bio
- Sainte-Rita (in Italian) short bio including mention of Venerable.
- Mondo Migliore house website has all the languages... they all begin with his birth and a statement of his zeal and the date of his ordination and then proceed to tell, some more than others, about his founding the Oblates and even through his declaration as Venerable. Their text has been consolidated here at Lanteri/Mondo Migliore, as the site will likely soon go offline due to the Oblates' having sold it.

[edit]- Fr. Tim Gallagher recommended Oblate novices speak with Paola at the OMV library in Pinerolo to obtain encyclopedia references on the life of PB Lanteri. Update: she recommended Treccani articles linked above. There may be others on the shelves.
