Asian Bowls Championship 2001 The Inaugural Asian Bowls Championship took place from 17-23 June 2001 at Hong Kong Football Club and Craigengower Cricket Club in Hong Kong. Hong Kong was represented by Tony Tong, Adam Poynton, James Cheng, Jimmy Chiu, K.K. Yeung, Jacky Wong, Dawood Karamdin, Dickson Ha, Andrew Robertson and Nelson To. Team manager was Pat Chan. Hong Kong men won a gold medal in Men Pairs, two bronze medals in Men Singles and Triples. The team overall ranked second. Hong Kong ladies team was represented by Danna Chiu, Angela Chau, Lena Yeung, Anna Chan, Anna Clarke, Stephanie Chung, Camilla Leung, Alice Antunes, Fanny Fernandes, Julia Wong. Team managress was Cecilia Smith Hong Kong ladies won a silver in Triples and a bronze medal in Fours. The team overall ranked third. Asian Bowls Championship 2002 Hong Kong team in Asian Bowls 2002The 2nd Asian Lawn Bowls Championship 2002 was held at Angeles City, Philippines betwen 6-12 May 2002. Hong Kong Men's team was represented by Adam Poynton, James Cheng, Harry Thornton, Jimmy Chiu and Loy D'Souza. Hong Kong ladies team was represented by Anna Clarke, Danna Chiu, Camilla Leung, Stephanie Chung and Hannah Ha. The team manager was Vincent Cheung. Hong Kong won six Silver medals. Hong Kong team ranked 3rd in Men overall, 4th in Women overall and 2nd in Overall Championship.

The 5th Asian Lawn Bowls Championship 2006 and 3rd Asian Under 25 Singles Lawn Bowls Championship 2006 took place from 12-18 August 2006 in Brunei. Hong Kong team was represented by Robin Chok, Jerry Ng, C.S. Suen, Dickson Ha, Tony Tong, Peggy Ma, Queenie Lai, Danna Chiu, Hana Ko, and Winnie Wai. The team managers were Dawood Karamdin and Stephanie Chung. For the Under 25 Singles championship, the comprised of Ken Chan, Alan Lai, Tiffany Law and Zita Chan, with their coach Eric Chan. The team won two Gold and three Silver medals in individual disciplines. In addition, the overall ranking is 3rd for men and 2nd for women.

The 7th Asian Lawn Bowls Championship and 5th Asian Under 25 Singles Championship were hosted by the Chinese Multi-Bowls Association. The tournaments were held from 30 October to 7 November 2008 at Bijiashan Park, Shenzhen, China. Hong Kong team comprised 14 players, two manger and a coach. For the open championship, the team was Luis Fernandes, S.K. Ng, C.S. Suen, Tony Chiu, Henry Wai, Carmen Suen, Angela Chau, Millicent Lai, Danna Chiu and Venus Ngai, with Dawood Karamdin and Sandy Sit as the managers. For the Under 25 champion, the team was Ken Chan, Howard Poon, Olivia Yu, and Pinky Chan with their coach Eric Chan. The team won three Silver and two Bronze medals.

The 8th Asian Lawn Bowls Championship and 6th Asian Under 25 Singles Championship were hosted by the Chinese Multi-Bowls Association. The tournaments were held from 2-9 December 2009 at Bijiashan Park, Shenzhen, China.

Hong Kong team comprised 14 players, two manger and a coach. For the open championship, the team was Luis Fernandes, C.S. Suen, Chadwick Chen, Stephen Chan, Bernard Leung, Peggy Ma, Celena Kwok, Mercredi Yeung, Connie Wong and Wanis Wan, with Warren Kwok and Jessie So as the managers.

2013 Barry Romilly Bowling Club - 1 Sep? Congratulations to Tenby Bowling Club member Ysie White who won the Welsh Women’s Bowling Association’s Under 25 singles competition at the weekend. Played at Barry Romilly Bowling Club, home of this year’s president, Beryl Holmes, Ysie defeated Bethan Russ, of Port Talbot BC, in a thrilling 21-20 match. Ysie also celebrated double success when she retained the Under 25 pairs title with Sara Marie Nicholls, of Llandeilo BC. Ysie is seen receiving her singles cup from president Beryl.


He is a 2 times Welsh National Champion, winning the singles in 1976 and 1977, the triples in 1974 and the fours in 1963, 1969 and 1976, when bowling for the Barry Athletic Bowls Club.[4]
