Welcome!
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.
Here are some links to pages you may find useful:

- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- Simplified Manual of Style
You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (212.159.76.80) is used to identify you instead.
I hope that you, as a new Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).
Happy editing! RSTech1 (talk) 21:09, 15 December 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Ron Moody—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 06:42, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Short prepositional introductory phrases
[edit]Hi. Could you please read what is said here and here about short introductory phrases. Commas after phrase of less than five words are not necessary, and a matter of taste. There is no Wikipedia Manual of Style preference for either. So progressing through dozens of articles to introduce them as "grammar" is unnecessary, not a correction of grammar, and a waste of your time. Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 16:03, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
- I'm disappointed that you are still wasting everyone's time with edits across multiple articles, sticking commas in where they are not required. Please stop. Escape Orbit (Talk) 12:15, 11 January 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Tyburn has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Caius G. (talk) 21:34, 1 January 2021 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
