On 19:42, 10 February 2017 you reverted my edit to Lisburn regarding the Irish language name for that place, again without discussion despite my request in my original edit for discussion and despite my further, formal request for discussion above. You therefore appear to have ignored two seperate requests for discussion. Your edit has now been reverted in turn by another editor. Continued edits on this point by you without discussion strengthens the case already made for accusing you of disruptive editing. An accusation of which you had previously also been put on notice below.
Further, in that, for your latest edit you used, whether intentionally or not, a different ip address opening yourself to the charge of sock puppetry. I would urge you to register so as to avoid any further confusion regarding ip address, and so dispose of any accusation of sock puppetry, and to engage in discussion so that your point of view can be heard. I also would prefer you to cease accusing editors of having an unspecified "ulterior motive" . Daithidebarra (talk) 17:33, 11 February 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Despite being reverted several times and a detaioed response left by me at Talk:Hillsborough you seem intent on edit warring on names despite the fact your view is entirely defunct and without foundation. - If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
- Just to clarify, the information at Talk:Hillsborough carries over to Lisburn and any other article. Like it or not, there are modern Irish forms of almost all places in Northern Ireland and the Republic and the Irish government backed Logianm service provides them. It is people like yourself that allow republicans/nationalists to claim the language as theirs when it belongs to all and is as much a part of our heritage as theirs - did you know that upto 50% of all Scottish Presbyterians that settled in Ulster during the 17th century spoke Gaelic (Scots Gaelic and Irish Gaelic were indistinguishable then), they even had to appeal for more Gaelic speaking Protestant ministers to administer them! Learn your history. Mabuska (talk) 21:05, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Hillsborough, County Down. Also in regards to the Lisburn article. You stand to be blocked for your disruption so please start discussing on the talk page. Mabuska (talk) 22:41, 17 February 2017 (UTC) Mabuska (talk) 22:41, 17 February 2017 (UTC)

- I wouldn't say it was sockpuppetry, just the editor using a different computer in a different location hence the IP change. Mabuska (talk) 14:36, 19 February 2017 (UTC)

[edit] You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Lisburn. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
The text you deleted is sourced to [1], and there's more information about that at Placenames Database of Ireland. If you disagree you need to discuss it at the talk page Talk:Lisburn and establish consensus. Nfitz (talk) 02:08, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
