Welcome!
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.
Here are some links to pages you may find useful:
- Contributing to Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- Simplified Manual of Style
You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (86.2.65.41) is used to identify you instead.
I hope that you, as a new Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).
Happy editing! Quinton Feldberg (talk) 19:25, 4 August 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to Elvira's Movie Macabre while logged out. Making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. See Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Cause of death vandal. Binksternet (talk) 17:38, 25 August 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Do not use multiple IP addresses to vandalize Wikipedia, like you did at Stanley Baker. Such attempts to avoid detection or circumvent the blocking policy will not succeed. You are welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia but your recent edits have been reverted or removed. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia you may be blocked from editing without further notice. See Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Cause of death vandal. Binksternet (talk) 19:02, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Jason Donovan. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Stop spamming all of these external links. They contribute nothing to the articles. Meters (talk) 08:58, 9 September 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Oshwah. An edit you recently made to Sally Macintyre seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:29, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
Please refrain from making test edits to Wikipedia pages, such as the one you made with this edit to Paula Rego, even if you intend to fix them later. Such edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:34, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Shellwood (talk) 12:38, 10 February 2018 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory or otherwise controversial content into an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Debbie Harry. [edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Dario Gradi, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Per #MOS:POSTNOM. Mattythewhite (talk) 20:43, 3 June 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that you made a change to an article, David Frost, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 10:03, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living persons, as you did with this edit to MJ Jenkins. Thank you. Alex Cohn (let's chat!) 20:40, 27 October 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at The Matrix, you may be blocked from editing. Was the note unclear? DonIago (talk) 20:36, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

Post-nominal letters
[edit]Hi. Per MOS:POSTNOM, we are not encouraged to include post-nominal letters to infoboxes when there is not a parameter for them. See the sentence starting "Post-nominals should not be added except to a biography". Thanks, Mattythewhite (talk) 23:12, 7 February 2019 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
