Help needed

Hi Adavis444,
I am a reviewer of new articles. I have come across an article whose mostly references are in Italian language I think. I went to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Italy and saw your name at the top of the list. I was wondering if you could take a look at the article. Though some references have very little text, and I think the article would not pass as these references don't seem reliable to me, but I will leave you to be the judge of that. This is the link of the article. looking forward to your response. Thank you.

Recognition of Native American sacred sites in the United States

Hi there. Last July, you added a NPOV tag to Recognition of Native American sacred sites in the United States. Could you please specify your concerns further on the talk page? Thanks.--Carwil (talk) 13:59, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Vital Articles

To all editors displaying the "Vital Articles" template on their User Page.

Hi,

I recently tried to make a change to the list of Level 3 Vital Articles by replacing the entry

" [[Comparison of the imperial and US customary measurement systems|Imperial and US customary measurement systems]]"

with a new replacement article

" [[Imperial and US customary measurement systems]]".

Although I have advertised the proposed change on Wikipedia talk:Vital articles, I had no response and an anonymous IP editor took it upon himself to undo my changes on grounds that my proposal did not have a "strong consensus".

Will you please look at the discussion Wikipedia talk:Vital articles#Replacement article: Imperial and US customary measurement systems and add your opinion.

Article Feedback Tool update

Hey Adavis444. I'm contacting you because you're involved in the Article Feedback Tool in some way, either as a previous newsletter recipient or as an active user of the system. As you might have heard, a user recently anonymously disabled the feedback tool on 2,000 pages. We were unable to track or prevent this due to the lack of logging feature in AFT5. We're deeply sorry for this, as we know that quite a few users found the software very useful, and were using it on their articles.

We've now re-released the software, with the addition of a logging feature and restrictions on the ability to disable. Obviously, we're not going to automatically re-enable it on each article—we don't want to create a situation where it was enabled by users who have now moved on, and feedback would sit there unattended—but if you're interested in enabling it for your articles, it's pretty simple to do. Just go to the article you want to enable it on, click the "request feedback" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and AFT5 will be enabled for that article.

Again, we're very sorry about this issue; hopefully it'll be smooth sailing after this :). If you have any questions, just drop them at the talkpage. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) 21:32, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

Your article submission Template:WikiProject SUNY

Hello Adavis444. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Template:WikiProject SUNY.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Template:WikiProject SUNY}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 00:00, 8 September 2013 (UTC)

Unblock request for User:Adavis444 only

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Currently living in Vietnam, I sometimes face difficulties accessing basic websites such as Facebook or Wikipedia, thus prompting me to use a VPN. Inevitably, the IP addresses to which I am directed, generally existing in Japan, Poland, the United States, and Brazil, are used by an extraordinarily large number of editors, including vandals. As an established long-time editor of Wikipedia (though perhaps sometimes intermittent) with my permanent residence being located near Binghamton, New York, I have no connection with the errant edits made by other users and thus feel that it is only appropriate that I am unblocked in order to continue to contribute to Wikipedia solely by means of my username, Adavis444.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline: Per Beeblebrox's note below, please make a request via WP:UTRS if you would like to request WP:IPBE. Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 17:03, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • You are not directly blocked, and without further information there is no way to evaluate this request. What would be needed would be for you to repost the exact message you see when you try to edit. If you would rather not do that on-wiki you can use the WP:UTRS system. FA review?

Hello,

I noticed that you are involved with the physics articles on Wikipedia, and I was wondering if you could help me out. Right now, I'm working to bring the article AdS/CFT correspondence to FA status. So far, people have had many good suggestions and many positive things to say about the article, but I'm having trouble getting people to support or oppose the nomination.

I was wondering if you'd be willing to take a look at it and tell us your thoughts at this page. Please note that you do not have to be an expert on the subject. The article has already been checked quite carefully by other reviewers, and at this point, I'm just looking for people who can check that it meets the FA criteria.

Please let me know if you're interested. Thanks. Polytope24 (talk) 15:30, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
