Maybe. Why me though? —Akrabbimtalk 16:05, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

if not you, who would be?!! why you are a reviewer then?--Historyfeelings - talk 21:57, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I see now. Actually, the reviewer status is a user right that is left over from when we were trying out the pending changes system (see Wikipedia:Reviewing). It doesn't actually have to do with peer reviewing articles. But if I have time I'll still take a look at the article. —Akrabbimtalk 23:25, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Great job on the map on the State University of New York article! Kind regards, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 18:33, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ha, thanks! And just so you know, I plan on adding the community colleges before deciding if it needs to be broken up or expanded on in the List of State University of New York units page. At the very least it could do with an accompanying NYC mapAkrabbimtalk 18:43, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I stumbled across your edit here - care to explain? Widr (talk) 16:50, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ha, oops. this is what I meant to do. I have a Firefox extension that replaces every occurrence of the word 'election' with 'eating contest' (among other things) based on this comic strip. It's meant to make reading the news funnier, but it turns out that it replaces them in WP's edit window too. I'll make sure that it's disabled when editing going forward, thanks! —Akrabbimtalk 17:11, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hehe, thanks for that. I knew there had to be a logical explanation. :-) Widr (talk) 17:30, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect VFY. Since you had some involvement with the VFY redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. TheChampionMan1234 05:36, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of List of dynasties

[edit]

Hello Akrabbim,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Slatersteven and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged an article that you started, List of dynasties for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, List of kingdoms and royal dynasties.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Slatersteven}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

@Slatersteven and Barkeep49: Disagree with speedy deletion/redirect. See Talk:List of dynasties. —Aᴋʀᴀʙʙıᴍ talk 17:01, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dynasty articles

[edit]

Hello!

I realise that you've created a new page titled "List of dynasties" but it seems like some other editors do not see the need for this new page because there is already an existing page called "List of kingdoms and royal dynasties".

I do agree with you that there are a lot of content on the "List of dynasties" (originally from the "Dynasty" article) that are not found on the "List of kingdoms and royal dynasties" article. But it seems to me that other editors might still redirect your newly created page to the existing one, so I'm not sure how this will end up. To prevent the loss of information in the process, I've restored the content on the original "Dynasty" list just to ensure that the content will not be lost and for the ease of future edits. If a consensus is reached in the near future regarding the fate of the "List of dynasties" article, I do not see a problem with removing the content on the "Dynasty" page.

If the editors were to merge the two pages "List of dynasties" and "List of kingdoms and royal dynasties" into one, I'm personally more supportive of having "List of dynasties" as the merged article's title, because the terms "kingdoms" and "royal" are not exactly representative of all the dynasties and dynastic regimes in the world.

Cheers.

Morrisonjohn022 (talk) 04:59, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Morrisonjohn022: I reverted the redirect (and undid your undo) and made my case over at Talk:List of dynasties. The list definitely does a disservice to the Dynasty article if it stays where it was, but it is not completely redundant to List of kingdoms and royal dynasties. —Aᴋʀᴀʙʙıᴍ talk 17:04, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DYK nomination of I Love You Colonel Sanders!

[edit]

Hello! Your submission of I Love You Colonel Sanders! at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Yoninah (talk) 21:35, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just a reminder that you are not allowed to edit your own hooks when they get to the prep area. You can post a complaint at WT:DYK. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 22:25, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Really? I just checked at I didn't see that written anywhere on WP:DYK, WP:DYKSG, WP:DYKNN, or WP:DYK/G. —Aᴋʀᴀʙʙıᴍ talk 22:37, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for I Love You, Colonel Sanders!

[edit]

On 15 February 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article I Love You, Colonel Sanders!, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the young, attractive, and date-able portrayal of Colonel Sanders in a parody dating sim is part of an effort by KFC to make the Colonel a "part of pop culture"? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, I Love You, Colonel Sanders!), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hide & Seek

[edit]

You deleted my edit for Imogen Heaps "Hide & Seek" album to which Jason Derulo in an interview SAID he received the inspiration from AND worked with her to create the song! I would appreciate it if you would add in your "reason to edit" instead of just undoing something without reference. It is a known fact the song and album PREDATES anything Jason as has done and that was given along with the references! Since you are a TROLL I'd highly doubt you'd be comprehend anything that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Comecorrect2021 (talkcontribs) 16:03, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Comecorrect2021: A number of other times in the article it mentions that the sample and chorus is from "Hide & Seek", so I felt it redundant to say he was merely 'inspired' by it. Also, the way you formatted the link is incorrect. Is there additional information in that interview that would be useful to add? If you add the source to your edit then we can expand the article accordingly. — Aᴋʀᴀʙʙıᴍ talk 16:37, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Akrabbim: Ah! No need, I see the credits to the artist Imogen Heap, it's just confusing when someone searches in Google the only thing that pops up is the first half so it needs to be mentioned in the first part of the sentence to create transparency but I suppose if someone wanted to expand they could. Anyway, thanks again and apologies for my passion! Comecorrect2021 (talk) 16:48, 2 March 2021 (UTC)Comecorrect2021[reply]
Notice

The article Sin Sin Sin (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unnecessary page as the only topic can handle the hatnote.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Brand new logo for Warner Music Group

[edit]

I work for Warner Music Group. I see you’re a member of the Wikiproject Music. There’s a brand new logo for WMG. I uploaded it to Wikimedia Commons as the representative of the company, but I know I’m not supposed to directly edit Wikipedia articles when I have a conflict of interest. Would you be able to take a look at the request to swap out the old logo and logo caption at Talk:Warner Music Group/Archives/2021#Help switching to new logo ? Thank you so much for your consideration.Music2022 (talk) 00:10, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
