[edit]Because here at the English wiki, we have very strict rules about writing about fiction. Real-world information is considered more important than in-universe information. The article should summarize his personalioty, rather than providing numerous examples and going on and on. If you do not like the article, you are free to nominate it for removal. -- Scorpion0422 13:30, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well at last I can talk to someone who knows much about Simpsons. I did not say it's bad, but I think it's better to expand his personality (actually we can write a book about his personality). In Ukraine wiki there are no restriction on this and you don't have to give references on every word. I am working at ukrainan wiki and I'm the author of the article about Homer in Uk.wiki. And the last question: why don't you write his age in the template? And he was 41 in one of the episodes (but actually noone said about 40 in Springfield UP, he could be possibly even 42 in that episode).--Anatoliy-024 (talk) 13:51, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- You take pictures of the screen and use those as screenshots? Why not download VLC Player, which allows you to take screenshots on the computer. It looks a lot better. As for images, we also have very strict image rules, which makes it very hard to include more than a few non-free images on each page (and no, promotional images are still copyrighted). Our page used to look similar to the Ukranian one, but it has since been cleaned up and compressed. As for age, it is not in the template simply because The Simpsons is such an inconsistant show that it is impossible. Only a handful of characters have had a consistant age, while the rest have either had various ages stated or their age has never been stated. It generated edit wars and speculation, so we finally decided to just get rid of the field. -- Scorpion0422 14:19, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- No, I record Simpsons by myself with a Beholder Decoder that is set on a computer (you can watch TV and record video|audio on it). Then I look on the quality (it is usually high and 280-290 Megabyte/1 episode of Simpsons), stop the record, set the mobile on stop-video and shoot it - then download. What to age (if you read Ukrainian) there is a special partition connected to Homer's age. It is from 36 to 41, but I considered 38 to be better. It's strange why there is no biography. What about the field, it would be good to mention his age in the first lines. If not mentioned (as Moe, it would be a good idea to write approximately 40, 50, 30 and so on.). By the way have you seen Springfield Up? (In Ukraine there is no 18 season, it will air soon, and 19-th has already aired). Was Homer Simpson said to be 40 in the episode?--Anatoliy-024 (talk) 17:34, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
