Using pictures same articles of different languages
[edit]This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
I would like to know if I can use pictures on the same articles but different languages, in which is not my work. Can I use it or not and if so , how? Ex. The article Bang Sue Junction has pictures on the Thai Article but not on the English one (that I created) Bahndosi (talk) 14:40, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- You can only use files from Commons globally. Files uploaded locally to English Wikipedia can only be used at English Wikipedia. Files uploaded locally to Thai Wikipedia can only be used at Thai Wikipedia. That's how it works. So for the Bang Sue Junction article, you can't use those files from the Thai article since those files are uploaded to Thai Wikipedia only. Hope I have answered your question. --Glaisher [talk] 16:13, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for your answer Glashier. Now I fully understand. Bahndosi (talk) 16:32, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Thai station naming
[edit]Hi Bahndosi, and thanks for the work you've put into creating articles on the Thai railway system. I've renamed some of the articles you created to follow the naming convention for stations, and I'd appreciate if you could name any future articles in the same pattern: 'Place name' Railway Station. An example of this is Sila At Railway Station. Cheers, Jr8825 • Talk 17:10, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
Opting in to VisualEditor
[edit]As you may know, VisualEditor ("Edit beta") is currently available on the English Wikipedia only for registered editors who choose to enable it. Since you have made 50 or more edits with VisualEditor this year, I want to make sure that you know that you can enable VisualEditor (if you haven't already done so) by going to your preferences and choosing the item, "MediaWiki:Visualeditor-preference-enable
". This will give you the option of using VisualEditor on articles and userpages when you want to, and give you the opportunity to spot changes in the interface and suggest improvements. We value your feedback, whether positive or negative, about using VisualEditor, at Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback. Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 20:24, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
Link still remains red
[edit]I have recently created a Den Chai Railway Station Article and after that I added a link on the State Railway of Thailand page to this new article. However the words still stay in red colour and not the usual blue. Any help to correct this would be much appreciated. Bahndosi (talk) 04:00, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
- Hmm... that is weird. It could be something to do with one of the railway diagrams on the page - an incomplete set wikimarkup (e.g. {{}}) on the template page can often screw up the articles it is placed on - but it seems unlikely to affect a hyperlink. The problem is showing up in all of the browsers I tested, and after I cleared the cache, so I'm guessing it's a problem with Wikipedia, not a browser. I've reported it at the village pump which is the best place for technical issues. Just to let you know, not many people are likely to see things you post on your own user talkpage unless you are in the middle of a conversation - so in the future I'd go straight to the village pump (or any other relevant help page) otherwise they could go unnoticed.
- Also (and entirely unrelated), I've noticed that in articles such as Den Chai Railway Station you are simply placing weblinks in the references section. This is not recommended as these are prone to link rot and don't necessarily show that they are reliable sources for an encyclopaedia. Try using templates such as Template:Cite web to display references if you can. Let me know if you need any more help with using citations. Cheers! Jr8825 • Talk 12:27, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
Thank You for your help Jr8825 and I will try to use the Cite Web templates instead of weblinks for the References section. Bahndosi (talk) 14:27, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
A page you started (Ban Pong Railway Station) has been reviewed!
[edit]Thanks for creating Ban Pong Railway Station, Bahndosi!
Wikipedia editor Lstanley1979 just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:
Hi! Thank you for creating the article. You will need to use some of the quoted sources (which I've moved to the Talk page for now) to verify the historical details (someone explained how to do this above - please ask me if you need any help). Please don't comment on current rail services, per WP:TRAVELGUIDE - we don't comment on services available, and stations should be primarily notable because of their history or current significance.
To reply, leave a comment on Lstanley1979's talk page.

Creating New Templates(?) for Railway Lines
[edit]Hi, is there any way to create railway line boxes for putting in the services section of a Template: infobox station? As in Ban Thung Pho Junction Railway Station there should also be a box for line to Khiri Rat Nikhom under services as well. Compare to Ban Dara Junction Railway Station there is a box for the Sawankhalok Branch under "services" in the infobox station template. Wondering how to create a similar one for Ban Thung Pho. Thanks, Bahndosi (talk) 10:23, 5 August 2015 (UTC)

Railway halts nominated for deletion
[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions, but I have doubts regarding the notability of railway halts and whether they merit inclusion as Wikipedia articles. I have nominated several railway halt articles, some of which you created, for deletion. Please see the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aviation Academy Railway Halt. --Paul_012 (talk) 13:08, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

Termini for Branch Lines
[edit]I have yet to find a way of introducing the termini for branch lines, such as on the Kantang Branch Line (see Thi Wang railway station's s-line template with nothing following 'towards'. I have attempted to create pages such as Template:S-line/SRT left/Southern/Kantang Branch Line but to no avail. If you would please suggest the name of the template that would actually work would be really helpful. Thanks. Bahndosi Bahndosi (talk) 07:25, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
