Hello Chilldude102. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Jaeson Ma, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Article claims coverage in reliable sources. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 02:05, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
- Please read WP:BIO. According to the article's references, Jaeson Ma appears to be the subject of independent coverage in reliable sources. If you don't think he's notable, try WP:PROD or WP:AfD. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 02:15, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
Chilldude102: Stop continuously re-adding the speedy deletion tag to the Jaeson Ma article. Per WP:DEL, once a speedy deletion tag has been declined, it must not be re-added. If you still believe that the article should be deleted, use a WP:PROD or WP:AFD. In fact, I suggest going to WP:AFD since a WP:PROD tag is likely to be declined too. A WP:AFD listing will result in a full deletion discussion where you and the other users will be able to discuss the article in detail. However, repeatedly re-adding a speedy deletion tag to the article is disruptive and will lead to your account being blocked. Nsk92 (talk) 07:10, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
I saw that you tried to list the Jaeson Ma for AfD article for AfD. However, you only performed the first out of three steps necessary to list an article for an AfD. Please read the instructions at WP:AFD carefully. Listing an article for an AfD requires performing the following three steps:
- 1. Put an AfD tag at the article's page (you have done that).
- 2. Create a deletion discussion page for the article (you have not done that).
- 3. Add the AfD listing to the articles for deletion log page (you have not done that). It is also customary to notify the article's creator after step 3 is complete.
Until and unless these three steps are completed, the article is not yet listed for an AfD. Moreover, if steps 2 and 3 are not done within a fairly short period after an AfD tag is placed at the article, the tag is likely going to be removed. Read the instructions at WP:AFD carefully - everything is explained there in detail. Nsk92 (talk) 11:50, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
