Sorry for inadvertently removing the db-tag that you correctly added to this page - I was recentchange patrolling and reverted what looked like vandalism, only to find I'd got it wrong. (I haven't quite got the hang of popups yet...) Anyway, you were correct to tag the page for speedy deletion. Walton Vivat Regina! 11:25, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Likewise, I think I fell into that trap at one point with the page moving around :) Chriswiki 11:26, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for reverting the vandalism to my talk page. I took a quick look through your contributions and my mouth dropped after seeing all of the reverting you have done. Here's a token of my appreciation, not only for reverting the vandalism on my page, but all of the work you have been doing over the past few weeks. Keep it up! [edit]Thanks for reverting the page blanking on Rosie Reid. I would have continued too, because I saw it blanked again, but I was I afraid that I would have been blocked for the 3RR. I hope that the 3RR doesn't apply to article blanking that is not done by the author.--Wikipedier (talk • contribs) 23:42, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure reverting obvious vandalism (like page blanking) doesn't count under the 3RR Chriswiki 23:45, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Churchill/Ideal mini School
[edit]Hello Chris, I made the change with Ideal mini School. I understand that wikipedia needs sources, but the problem is..the stuff I wrote was from a primary source. I go to Ideal Mini School , so everything I wrote is from first hand experiences. I wanted to write this so that i wont get into trouble if anyone thinks i made it up. If there is anyway to cite sources, even though its from me, I would love to know itTerminator50 03:34, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School (Vancouver). I added uncited tags for the moment because the information is potentially controversial, and looks very much like it's your Point Of View. Sorry, but documenting first-hand experiences is explicitly not what Wikipedia is for (see Wikipedia:No original research for more information). Does the school, educational authority, or maybe school inspectors have any published material (either paper or website) that documents the facts you're writing about? Even better, have there been news reports published about the school taht back up your comments?Chriswiki March 2007

Why?
[edit]Why did you remove the n3k0de page? It is not nonsense, its the name of a coding group, do not remove it just because you don't know what it is. I did nothing, i made a page about our coding group. is this not a learn to site and hold information on it. please restore it? kthx. - Sphere of n3k0de N3k0de-sphere 21:12, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't delete it, I'm not an administrator- I simply nominated it for deletion (see here for details). Wikipedia is NOT a site to write about your club, it's an encylopedia. For your club to be included it should be notable, has reputable sources to quote from, and ideally the article should be written by someone else. Oh, and this is the English Wikipedia, not a leet one. Chriswiki 10:42, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Ideal Mini School/2 Days ago
[edit]Hello Chriswiki, thank you for trying to help out editing the Ideal Mini school section. The website where you think the information came from actually came from. site This is Ideals own site, so just thought to let you know that. Any concerns on Ideal Mini School section?, my talk page available.Terminator50 06:50, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, and the information was copied verbatim from the schools website. The school website makes no claim to have released this information to the public domain, so this text is therefore copyright and shouldn't be in wikipedia. Chriswiki 10:42, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit]That wasn't vandalism, that was true. i go to the school so i should know
- User:David Cat-I presume you are referring to your edit of Steven Tupling earlier today. I marked this as vandalism for several reasons:
- You referred to Mr Tupling as a tosser, without providing any evidence of this assertion.
- You repeatedly (and often weirdly) questioned his sexuality, again without providing any evidence.
- You put a probably incorrect age down in the article and didn't provide any sources.
- You questioned his sense of humour and didn't provide any reliable references for the claim.
- Basically, it sounds an awful lot like you don't like PE classes at school and decided to deride your teacher on the internet. This is vandalism. Please read the rules and guidelines for Wikipedia before contributing again-in particular the ones relating to personal attacks, Point of View, and Original Research. "I go to the school so I should know" is clearly indicating your edit was Original Research, and therefore has no place in Wikipedia. Oh, and please sign your posts, Thankyou.

AIV
[edit]Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you. Please note I'm not an administrator.The Sunshine Man 19:45, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- Please note I reported the user in question for repeated vandalism. If they had vandalised after the final warning I would have said so. I was drawing the administrators attention to a vandal-only account so they could take the necessary steps. Chriswiki 19:48, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Xtreme Radio
[edit]May I ask why the Xtreme Radio article was deleted? It had lots of valuable information about the station on it (much more so that the smaller piece now), and many other student stations have their own pages here on Wikipedia, yet we have been relegated to a part of the Union page for no reason! Please please restore our page - it would be very much appreciated on our part to give people a chance to learn a bit more about our efforts and our history. Thanks in advance,
Will Ogborne, Programme Controller, Xtreme Radio —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.96.207.229 (talk) 09:18, 11 May 2007 (UTC).
- Unfortunately the original article on Xtreme Radio was deleted following this Article for deletion discussion at which I was the only voice suggesting the article was kept. I did not delete it, but luckily made a copy before it was deleted and then ressurected the encylopedic bits of the original article into the Students' Union page with a redirect. The bits now "missing" are basically a list of names of previous members of the society and the studio phone numbers. Both of these fall under the Wikipedia is not a directory policy. I did my best, and hope that someone also works to save the other Student Radio station articles that are under threat at the moment. Chriswiki 09:53, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Can you think of anything we can to to stem the tide of vandalism here? Loshgr's indefblock has slowed the tide but not stopped it, and it seems ridiculous to semiprotect such a trivial page — but I imagine you're getting as tired as I am of reverting the constant low-level vandalism here. Any thoughts? — iridescenti (talk to me!) 13:07, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- The vandalism in general is unusual for a school page because it doesn't revolve around how much everything sucks and the rumours about various teachers misbehaving. I don't really have a solution I'm afraid, and agree that semiprotecting is a bit of overkill (and there are many other schools articles which would get it too). I'm going with the attitude that it's generally obvious to spot and straightforward enough to revert- if any protection or blocking is put in the kids from the school will still post there, just using harder to track methods. [edit]I watch Oscar and I think if you did, then you would no what it is all about. It is a great program, so la-de-da, Monsieur Carot. Christine118500 16:05, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- I presume you are talking about your earlier edit to Oscar's Orchestra. If so, I raised the subject of references because in Wikipedia, you need sources. "I watch it" indicates Original Research, which is a no-no. Chriswiki 18:37, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- (Keeping an eye on Christine118500's edits as his adopter) - my efforts to try and get him to reform are not bearing much fruit, I'm afraid. I have told him that this message he left for you was immature and uncivil and was an inappropriate reply to a perfectly proper question that you posed about the need for sources (which itself was in reply to an unnecessary article talk page edit he made!) I'll be interested to see what he says in reply. Do let me know if you have any further run-ins with him, although I'm trying to watch all his contributions for now... Thanks, Bencherlite 15:06, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
I apologise that I called you Monsieur Carot, and argued with you. I just really want show that I love Oscar's and I don't like people controdicting me. Worplesdon Primary School
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Worplesdon Primary School, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. B. Speedy deletion nomination of Xtreme Radio
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Xtreme Radio requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. GrayFullbuster (talk) 14:54, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
The article GuilFest line-ups has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Entire exhaustive list of bands for this defunct festival is not notable.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Wikipedical (talk) 04:05, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
