The God Delusion review

[edit]

Just to say that I've replied to your question at Talk:Richard Dawkins. Cheers, --PLUMBAGO 11:35, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the comment, my apologies. I misread the context at first and reverted myself after noticing my error. It does seem to be a classic case of the Courtier's reply. Once, long ago, I was roped into helping show some visiting students from the Soviet Union around Edinburgh. When they asked my political views, I said "vaguely anarchist", and was promptly bombarded with "but have you read Lenin on Kropotkin?" Having just picked up the idea from SF writers like James Blish, I had no immediate response. Later, when showing them round St. Giles' Cathedral, I pointed out the Bible and asked them if they'd read that, but was ignored. In fairness, they were a bit culture shocked by the decadent West having gone to a Glasgow Art school Dance the previous evening. So it goes. . dave souza, talk 12:36, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
