The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mike Ott until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Mike Ott. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, DarkStriker22. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Kenshiro Daniels, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Kenshiro Daniels to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, Weinfield (talk) 21:04, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

2014 Philippine Peace Cup

[edit]

Hi DarkStriker22 it seems you're already updating the result while the game is still playing which should not be the case. And also may I know why are you removing the links to the players who don't have article page yet? --Nickrds09 (Talk to me) 14:17, 3 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Reuben Silitonga has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Proposed deletion of Reuben Silitonga

[edit]

The article Reuben Silitonga has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Thanks for uploading File:Neil Etheridge Playing for Charlton, Dec 2014.jpg. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Replaceable fair use File:Neil Etheridge Playing for Charlton, Dec 2014.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Neil Etheridge Playing for Charlton, Dec 2014.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 17:52, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Philippine Army-GTI FC Logo,Philippines.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hello there DS22,

apologies for my summary when reverting you in this player's article, you did not update the NT parameter in his infobox, but you did immediately afterwards. Settled.

However, the most important question I need to ask is this one: what seems to be the problem with the picture because I see it has been removed by several users over the years for no apparent reason. It is Mr. Patiño in that image in a Buriram gear is it not?

If I have made a mistake, please accept my sincere apologies and re-revert. Happy editing --Be Quiet AL (talk) 23:12, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

UFL Club squads

[edit]

Hi DarkStriker22, I notice your edits updating the squads of the UFL squads. Please keep in mind that you need to provide a newer source showing a new lineup and updating the date accordingly and the source:

e.g.{{updated|21 February 2016}}<ref name=lineup>{{cite web|title=Start list for Global FC vs Nomads FC|url=https://twitter.com/UFLphilippines/status/701375135618478081|website=Twitter|publisher=UFL Philippines|accessdate=27 February 2016|date=21 February 2016}}</ref> - Change the ones in underline accordingly.

{{Fs start}}
{{Fs player|no=1|nat=PHI|name=Enrique Ortiz|pos=GK}}
{{Fs player|no=2|nat=PHI|name=Darren Hartmann|pos=}}
...
Refer to this edit by an I.P. on how to do this edit.

I know Wikipedia is a combined effort, but it would rather be better to have a slightly outdated squad listing than an uncited squad listing collated from several sources. And social media sources is usually discouraged but not prohibited, since the UFL don't have much resources on the UFL squad listing, the official Twitter page would do as cited in the example above. Please understand.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 17:50, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mike Ott, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed deletion of Kouichi Belgira

[edit]

The article Kouichi Belgira has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Invite to the African Destubathon

[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:TahjCelebratingWithAnthony.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:TahjCelebratingWithAnthony.jpg.

Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:08, 14 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Kouichi Belgira

[edit]

If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Notice

The article Yrik Galantes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:FOOTYN. He hasn't played for a professional club (i.e. Hibs first team) or in a full international.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Limasawa Street into Ben&Ben. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. SEA Games 2019

[edit]

Hi. Can you please stop putting "Philippines U-23" in the player pages. The SEA Games is not an U-23 tournament. Neither is it a pure U-22 tournament. For Stephan Schrock for example, saying that he played for the U-23's as a 33 year old does not make sense. The proper designation for the national teams competing at this SEA Games is "U-22 Olympic". So for the Philippines, it's Philippines U-22 Olympic. Thank you. I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Lola Amour, should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lola Amour.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Citrivescence}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:FC Meralco Manila Crest.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:FC Meralco Manila Crest.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 25 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting help for Pagtingin et al.

Hello there! I hope you have a great day! Thank you for creating the article on Pebble House Vol. 1: Kuwaderno ahead of its release. Could I ask for your help in the following:

  • expanding the background and including other related details in the Lifetime (Ben&Ben song) article; and
  • including the backgrounds and other details in Araw-Araw and Pagtingin (as those articles lack backgrounds as it should have.)

Anything you could do in the mentioned articles would be a great help. Thank you and Godspeed! Xander Wu (talk) 06:49, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Oskari Kekkonen article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 17:32, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I strongly recommend you give WP:Copyright violations a thorough read. You created the article Youssef Khoumari with the following paragraph:

At a young age, Khoumari first became interested in boxing as a child when he grew frustrated with the martial art Choi Kwang-Do, as he wanted to test himself in a real fight. Khoumari said that the art was non-contact, very spiritual, the motto of the martial art was to stop a fight before it begins. While he was on a family trip to the Philippines in 2005, Khoumari watched the first fight of Manny Pacquiao and Érik Morales, and that time he was hooked to the sport.

The reference you used had the following two paragraphs:

Khoumari first became interested in boxing as a child when he grew frustrated with the martial art he was practicing, Choi Kwang-Do. “It was very non-contact, very spiritual. The motto of the martial art was to stop a fight before it begins, I always for some reason wanted to test myself in a real fight,” said Khoumari.

While on a family trip to the Philippines in 2005, Khoumari watched the first fight between Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales and was mesmerized. In boxing, he saw a combat sport that was pure combat, and was hooked the first time he stepped into a gym and sparred.

Simply changing or rearranging a few words still constitutes a copyright violation. In the second paragraph of WP:Copyright violation, it states, Even inserting text copied with some changes can be a copyright violation if there is substantial linguistic similarity in creative language or sentence structure; this is known as close paraphrasing, which can also raise concerns about plagiarism. Such situations should be treated seriously, as copyright violations not only harm Wikipedia's redistributability, but also create legal issues.

I see above that you've had at least two warnings for copyright violations. Repeated violations will inevitably result in a block. Stop being lazy and use your own words. – 2.O.Boxing 13:46, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kristófer Reyes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Ways to improve 2022 FAS Tri-Nations Series squads

[edit]

Hello, DarkStriker22,

Thank you for creating 2022 FAS Tri-Nations Series squads.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

This article is missing prose, which means it fails notability for sports teams, sports seasons. (There have been changes to the notability guide for sports - see WP:NSPORT ) Team season articles should consist mainly of well-sourced prose, not just statistics and lists of players. Wikipedia is not a stats directory. See WP:NSEASONS for guidance. Failing this notability guide, this article may be redirected to the main team page. An example is LSU Tigers football

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Ways to improve Alyssa Ube

[edit]

Hello, DarkStriker22,

Thank you for creating Alyssa Ube.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

What is needed are references from significant coverage about this player, and not their own words; in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS; that is your guide. Lists, Team rosters, pages listing matches and results, databases, Instagram, Soccerway, Facebook, none of these are reliable sources. (There have been changes to the notability guide for sports - see WP:NSPORT ) You may also read WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources. A more comprehensive guide is WP:SOURCES ... Providing sufficient references, ideally giving more information about this player, that meet these criteria is likely to allow this article to remain. Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that this article is not suitable for inclusion.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 15:45, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Maya Alcantara requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Maya Alcantara

[edit]

Now that WP:NFOOTY is obsolete, you have to make a claim of notability for athletes like Maya Alcantara. Mere mentions in some dude's website isn't enough. Chris Troutman (talk) 15:06, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Maya Alcantara for deletion

[edit]
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Maya Alcantara is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Maya Alcantara until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

[edit]

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to AFF U-19 Women's Championship and Philippines women's national under-19 football team. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 11:36, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is 192.168.1.8. I don't remember downloading or installing any services that changes my IP address. All I ever did was change my WiFi name and password and then I initially got a 5-day ban. I waited for the ban to be lifted this day and when I was about to edit, I was then again handed a ban but now for 27 days. If I was caught changing my IP address, I assure you that I have no idea about it and it was never my intention to change it. DarkStriker22 (talk) 08:52, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

The IP that you give is that of your home network and not the one you use to connect to the internet. If it does not appear in the block message you receive when you attempt to make an edit, you can determine it using a tool like whatismyip dot com, or even googling "what is my IP" may work. If you are using a phone or tablet to access Wikipedia, it is possible that you unknowingly picked up a VPN or proxy. 331dot (talk) 09:00, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

If your IP is the same as in your earlier block request above, did you do as that admin requested? 331dot (talk) 09:01, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:JPV Marikina.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:JPV Marikina.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Deletion discussion about Manila Montet F.C.

[edit]

Hello DarkStriker22, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Manila Montet F.C., should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Manila Montet F.C..

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Chlod}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Fragments and WP:NALBUMS

[edit]

Hello. I understand you're a fan of Claire Benin, but I worry about the notability of her articles that you've worked on. At least on the article for Fragments that you restored: four of the sources were about the singles and not the EP. Two of the sources were primary, which don't establish notability (WP:N), and the other two sources are not sufficiently in-depth enough to base an article on. It fails WP:NALBUMS and has been redirected. If you restore the article again, I will nominate it for deletion and I do not think it will survive a deletion discussion, so you may be wasting your time. It's fine to be a fan of a musician, but we need to objective if their songs or albums don't pass Wikipedia notability guidelines. Ss112 15:43, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
