can you stop being so anal?

Well, sir

[edit]

I disagree heartily with your changes in Bob Dylan, and with the reasons you give for them, which is only to be expected, by me, at any rate, I should and dare say. [inhale] But I'm far from in a mood to vindicate my edits at the moment, so, for that moment, you stand. Enjoy... Btw, Times was most certainly a rallying cry sorta song, far moreso than Blowin, actually. But we'll deal with all this down the path, be it primrose or [of] no return. Good day to you. JDG 02:47, 8 April 2006 (UTC)... Update: Please see my comments on the Dylan Talk page. Also, you say "please consider that this article is a labor of love by many dedicated Dylan fans and that the introduction is modest should tell you something." I have been contributing to this article since mid 2002. It's original intro was much smaller and worked out mostly by user:GWO and myself. I wish it had stayed that way, but now that it's sizable it should in fact be a true overview. Your version almost gives the impression that everything following Blowin sort of rode on its momentum. But Times was actually bigger at the time of its release. Blowin took years to become really well known, and even then it was mostly as a generic folk song (very few people had heard Bob's version of it). Times, in contrast, came out just as the large protests were getting underway, and it was hailed as a statement specifically by Dylan and carried weight partly for that reason alone. Don't mention it. Actually, I think I messed up something. Bright Eyes (disambiguation) now has no history before my edits. Very strange. Hope it's okay. -- PFHLai 23:21, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Area 88 cleanup

[edit]

I don't disagree with the notion the aircraft list could use some cleanup, but did you have a specific reason in mind for tagging it as such? It'd be great if you could clarify that on the talk page so editors have something to start with. Virogtheconq 23:58, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry. I just added an explaination to the talk page. Elvrum 00:06, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cowboy Bebop

[edit]

Well, I somehow I got to a "this page does not exist" page by typing "Cowboy bebop" into the search. If I get somewhere that should redirect to a page and doesn't, then that's reason enough for me to create a redirect page. And the "redirected from" notice at the top isn't "ugly", or even noticable unless you're looking for it. Some guy 23:46, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Conor Oberst in 7th grade year book.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Conor Oberst in 7th grade year book.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. User:Angr 08:45, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:The Times They Are a-Changin' (EP).jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:The Times They Are a-Changin' (EP).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hello Elvrum! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 271 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Justin (koavf)TCM05:42, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
