"Enola Gay" as an anti-war song

[edit]

Hi, the opening line of your Wirral Globe source describes "Enola Gay" as "the anti-war anthem that became the signature tune of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark", so it isn't useful in discrediting the existing "anti-war" designation. Within the WG article McCluskey says the track "isn't really a simple anti-war song", but this isn't a denial (which would be incongruent with the opening line), rather an assertion that the song isn't thematically simple. I'd advise you to take this matter to the "Enola Gay" talk page and try to develop consensus. Given that "anti-war" is well-sourced (and an official press release even describes the 40th anniversary edition as such[1]), you may have difficulty, but it is certainly your right to begin a discussion.
