Hi, GLGermann~enwiki, welcome to WikiProject LGBT Studies!

We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying, categorizing, and improving articles of interest to the LGBT community. Some points that may be helpful:

  • Our main aim is to help improve LGBT-related articles, so if someone asks for help with an article, please try your hardest to help them if you are able.
  • Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
  • The project has several ongoing and developing activities, such as article quality assessment, peer review and a project-wide article collaboration, all of which you are welcome to take part in. We also have a unique program to improve our lower quality articles, Jumpaclass, so please consider signing up there.
  • If you have another language besides English, please consider adding yourself to our translation section, to help us improve our foreign LGBT topics.
  • If you're planning to stay, have a square in our quilt! You can put anything you want in it.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again - Welcome!

Thanks for Welcoming, very nice. GLGerman 15:44, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome :)

So Max Spohr wasn't gay? -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 03:08, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

no as i know and as i read, but i'm not 100% sure. He wasn't gay, but he was still a great early supporter of LGBT in Germany and he published in his company early LGBT themes. GLGermann (talk) 20:08, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
He was very, very, very gay ... we spent some times together, it was wonderful ... lovely ... he was so exited looking my ... GLGerman, guess, you know what I mean .. greetings for newzealand ... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.187.108.211 (talk) 20:19, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Careful?

Hello, I appreciate your good intentions, but your warning is so vague that it is not all that helpful. If you would not mind telling me what in particular you found to be in error in the pederasty domain then I may be able to do something about it. Could you find a ref for Axel Schock? Thanks! -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 16:50, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can you check for Claudia Schoppmann as well? There's nothing in the article about her sexuality, nor any references to that. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 21:26, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

both good questions. I think so, but i'm unsure. Maybe i will find a good reference in german. GLGermann (talk) 11:16, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on EMMA (journal), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because EMMA (journal) is a foreign language article that was copied and pasted from another Wikimedia project, or was transwikied out to another project (CSD A2).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting EMMA (journal), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Hi GLG, is there any chance to support you and to make your block on de: revised? -- D. Diderot 00:31, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

until now i write on german page of Wikipedia under IP. Some german authors blocked me, because of a discussion over german pope Pope Benedict XVI on christmas 2008 GLGermann (talk) 12:42, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The block ends in June 2009 on german Wiki, but i can write with IP. GLGermann (talk) 20:29, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You'll have to crawl through the wayback machine to see if you can find more on AVN, because they have gutted their archives at least twice in the last decade but current has this: 2000 Win citation [3], Nominations for 2000 [4] Featured in documentary [5], and sequel(?) [6].

Documentaries should be able to provide some personal background if you can find them. Hope this helps.Horrorshowj (talk) 03:39, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Patton

I've reverted your change to Patton. There already is a disambiguation page at Patton (disambiguation). You should probably discuss whether Patton should redirect to that dab page or remain at the general at Talk:Patton. (John User:Jwy talk) 00:26, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Civil partnerships in Jersey

[edit]

Hi! The vote which was taken in October 2009 was simply a preliminary vote: the States of Jersey agreed to move forward with civil partnerships. A bill needs to be drafted and voted upon again before civil partnerships become law in Jersey. While this is almost guaranteed to happen in the next year, I think the map should only be changed once civil partnerships become law. Not in Parliament no, but she was elected to it, before being renominated as Commissioner, hence her appearance at the time that article was created.
That it took the better part of a year for anyone to notice is an unfortunate indictment of the number of people paying attention to such articles! --Saalstin (talk) 19:00, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

I have nominated Manuela Kay, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Manuela Kay. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. NativeForeigner Talk/Contribs 03:17, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Kittredge Cherry requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Wiki Loves Pride 2014

[edit]

Hi GL. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Wikipedia, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. If you are interested, you might consider creating a page for a major city (or cities!) near you, with a list of LGBT-related articles that need to be created or improved. This would be a tremendous help to Wikipedia and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Thanks for your consideration, and please let me know if you have any questions! --Another Believer (Talk) 15:44, 9 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
