Silent Hill

[edit]

I saw your comments on the Silent Hill talk page. I was able to get Silent Hill 2 to GA status a while ago, but it's the only game in the series I've played (otherwise I might have joined the SH task force). I've looked into all the others since, however, and if you've played a few others in the series it seems possible that I could help you with the other pages. Just tell me which page you think should be reworked first and I'll see what I can do. --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 06:10, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've done a lot of work on Origins as of late, so it should be okay for a while. I've gone to do some work on the main Silent Hill page in the meantime, with Devil May Cry (series) as a possible model. --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 05:18, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
While I believe that the section on the town itself in the Silent Hill article could certainly be expanded significantly, I don't think it would warrant an entire new article. I'll try to get back to that article once I'm mostly done with The Power of Nightmares. --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 16:41, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Specifically, I think it could be expanded to better explain why the town is a fog-shrouded disaster area. From my watching a few playthroughs on YouTube, it looks like it is as follows:
  1. Town starts out with bizarre mystical nature
  2. Power harnessed by Dahlia to try and ressurrect God and by Alessa to stop the ceremony from being completed. Sh*t (is this covered by Wikipedia:Profanity?) happens.
  3. Dahlia thwarted and dead, unleashed power not restrained. Sh*t happens for James.
  4. Claudia tries to harness town's power to resurrect God (again). Sh*t happens for Heather.
  5. Walter harnesses power of town to ressurect an apartment he thinks is his mother. Sh*t happens for Henry et al.

The "setting" section might need to be expanded to a plot overview if this outline were to be used, however. --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 17:24, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think you might be able to make the plot synopsis for Silent Hill (video game) more complete? --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 22:03, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Hopefully then I'll be able to merge the endings section into the plot. --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 03:39, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Saw your wrk on those articles. Thought I should let you know that IGN has published proper, nicely formatted guides for Silent Hill's 3 and 4 which might be of use. --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 19:43, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Et20051216103900701l06dr.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Et20051216103900701l06dr.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:16, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Silent Hill (again)

[edit]

You've seen what I've done to Silent Hill 4, and I've noticed you're editing the articles again. Just wondering if there's anything you can do for Silent Hill 2, it's in GA review and appears to be losing the fight. --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 00:34, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
