Game of Thrones edit

[edit]

Hello Grettoonist, first off, thank you for your contributions to the project. Just a heads up, I reverted your edit at Game of Thrones. According to MOS:TVIMAGE, an intertitle shot of the show (i.e., a screenshot capture of the show's title) or a promotional poster used to represent the show itself should be used. If you feel that it should be the text logo, feel free to start a discussion at Talk:Game of Thrones. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you! -- LuK3 (Talk) 00:50, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Archiving notice

[edit]

Information icon Hey! During your moving of Talk:Neo-Confederates, you forgot to update the archive location. All you need to do is adjust the |archive= parameter in the {{User:MizaBot/Config}} template to the new page name. Don't worry, I've fixed this for you. Just keep this in mind if you move a page in the future. Thanks! Aidan9382 (talk) 17:00, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

To Aidan9382,
Apologies for the mistake, and thank you for the correction. I will keep this in mind.
Yours sincerely, Grettoonist (Talk) 19:11, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Binksternet. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Day of Infamy speech, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 13:00, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Photo of 6th National Congress

[edit]

In your edit message on 6th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, you said that the photo you added had "been accounted for" and was actually for the 6th Congress. I'm sorry but that doesn't make any sense. The caption you added said that Mao was making his opening speech. Mao was not present at the 6th Congress, and it was held in Moscow. What is your source that this photo isn't of the 8th Congress, as its Chinese description says? SilverStar54 (talk) 17:26, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @SilverStar54,
I mistook this image occurring during the 6th National Congress, as that information had never been disputed up to now since 2015. I couldn't personally find any information that contradicted it, and I didn't want to say without evidence that it wasn't the case. Also, the image appears to have been cropped down the middle, and it cannot be confirmed from the image alone, but it appeared to be Mao giving his speech to the congress. This aspect of the image in its description still hasn't been disputed or changed, and that is why I said it.
My reason for adding images to these articles in the first place was in accordance with the guidelines on where they are to be used in relation to article content. And these precedents gave me enough reason to add the image into the article and the following caption. I agree that in hindsight, this decision was fallible, and I should have aired more on the side of caution about the lack of sourcing and proof of the claims. Apologies for the mistake made, it was not my intention. And thanks for correcting it and letting me know.
Sincerely, @Grettoonist (talk) 23:18, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Help to clean up and protect the page from vandalism

[edit]

Dear Grettoonist , I wanted to ask you for the possibility and help of having more control authority and a general cleaning of the page of the supermodel Fabio Mancini, because i saw you clean more things the page, and it is often vandalised unnecessarily. Thank you in advance for your wonderful work 109.52.151.46 (talk) 06:02, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi 109.52.151.46, thanks for your message, I really appreciate that you would consider me for helping with an article. I'm happy to help in any way I can regarding the article on Mancini, though I should note that I specialise in politics and am not particularly familiar with Mancini, his occupation, relation to Giorgio Armani, etc. Therefore I would be limited in identifying vandalism that isn't open or blatant, as I wouldn't have the knowledge to identify it. My edit on Mancini's article was based on how whenever an article references someone or something multiple times and they have a link to that article, it should be in the first mention, preferably in the lead section. That being said, I will keep an eye on the article and if there's anything I can do to improve the presentation and/or quality of information on the article, I'd be willing to do so.
Sincerely, @Grettoonist (talk) 14:47, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
