Harappa.com is a website based on contributions from most of the world's major ancient Indus Civilization archaeologists (please see the major ancient Indus page at http://www.harappa.com/har/har0.html). It is their content. It is the major source of information on this ancient civilization in India and Pakistan, and has brought the work of these people to a wide audience. The site has won numerous awards and has been cited in numerous publications and on other websites. Some of the most important news about Indus language finds and theories have been posted on the site first by scholars. The bulk of imagery on the Wikipedia articles on the ancient Indus have been taken from the site, not to mention much other historical imagery about India and Pakistan posted all over Wikipedia (often without permission or attribution!). The site was founded in 1995, and it seems worthy of an entry. Any contribution I have made as manager of the site has conformed with Wikipedia's neutrality principles, and if not please amend or let me know what to change. If this does not suffice, please feel free to remove the entry even though I think that this would not be appropriate considering its role in bringing the largest and least known ancient civilization to the attention of so many people.
