[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "National Museums Scotland", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to represent an organization or group rather than an individual person. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 15:23, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for the update, I have sent a request to change the username with the form as requested. Kind Regards, Hazel.
Hello, I'm Theroadislong. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to National Museums Scotland have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Hello, Theroadislong I'm sorry to hear that. I was simply trying to add relevant and up to date information about the galleries in the museums. Would it be suitable to add back some of the basic gallery information, without the links?
- If you have reliable secondary sources yes, Wikipedia is only concerned with what has been reported by others, NOT what the museum says about itself. Theroadislong (talk) 11:27, 15 November 2016 (UTC)
Thanks Theroadislong I wasn't aware of these publishing rules, as am fairly new to Wikipedia. Will take these into account going forward. Kind regards.
