Fifth five-year plan (China) moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Fifth five-year plan (China). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and At least 4 of the current 5 sources are not independent. Two sources are gov.cn, one is a site which was set up by the Chinese military (see https://www.chinadaily.com.cn/china/2017-11/19/content_34732486.htm) and another describes itself as "Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China Frontline Magazine". . I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. TarnishedPathtalk 02:46, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Fourth five-year plan (China)

[edit]

Hello, HelenAtkinson2002,

Thank you for creating Fourth five-year plan (China).

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Thanks for your article Helen. Your article can be improved by adding more independent sources. At present 3 of the 5 sources in the article are not independent (2 gov.cn and chinado.cn).

@TarnishedPath:Thanks for your comment, I had added more references hours ago. May I ask you how I can improve this article further?--HelenAtkinson2002 (talk) 14:45, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If possible I would replace the gov.cn and chinado.cn sources with other references. Sources which are independent from the subject are always preferable. Sources which are connected to the subject can be used but preferably only for statements of fact about the most uncontentious material possible. E.g., who was the person in charge, etc.
Beyond that I would try and write it less like an essay. We need to present articles in a neutrally worded manner. Not weave some sort of narrative. TarnishedPathtalk 14:56, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@TarnishedPath:Thanks for your suggestions, and I just removed the chinado before, and the content of gov.cn is only used to state the goals of the five-year plan. Other parts have been used from third-party sources. I will add more third-party sources if nessessary. As for "essay"... maybe I have to try a little more to fix it, I just wanna write the article more rigorous. Again, thanks a lot.--HelenAtkinson2002 (talk) 15:06, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Helen, you asked a follow-up question at the Wikipedia Help desk to which I responded in some detail, but this discussion was quickly archived, likely too quickly for you to have seen my second response. You can still view it on the archive page, Wikipedia:Help desk/Archives/2024 October 30. Hope that helps you with your architecture and other articles.
