Re:Help?
Hi Susan, I suggest you automate the box or use archive box collapsible. Here are some options:
- {{archives|auto=long|collapsed=yes}}
- {{archives|auto=yes}}
- {{Archive box collapsible}} in the place of {{Archive box}}

?susan hewitt with persoanl appeal for funds
With respect, I have a tiny # of articles, but I don't contribute or help for a simple reason: a *for profit* cna re sell the work i do for free. I don't mind non profits doing that, but the idea that someone is making money off of my work is , for me personally, not acceptable. regardsCinnamon colbert (talk) 17:17, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, Cinnamon colbert. I'm not entirely sure what you mean here, but the Wikimedia Foundation- for which Susan is helping to raise funds - is a non-profit organization. I'm proud to say it has a 4-star rating fromCharity Navigator. It does require money to sustain Wikipedia and other projects (including Wikimedia Commons) hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation, however, and I'm personally grateful to Susan for taking her time to help sustain the vision. Your contribution of your time to help build articles is also valuable to sustaining the vision. :)--Maggie Dennis (WMF) (talk) 21:01, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
- I thin Cinnamon colbert means he would contribute a lot more, but he finds it unacceptable that the work that we give to Wikipedia can be re-used by anyone, even for commercial purposes. Invertzoo (talk) 13:10, 5 November 2011 (UTC)
- OTOH any added value materials created from Wikipedia content by for profit companies can be re-used by Wikipedia and anyone else due to the licensing requirements. Apart from those annoying print on demand companies (who have found a niche ripping off university libraries with printed tomes consisting entirely of Wikipedia centent, due libraries automatically ordering new works, if they haven't wised up to the practice yet) Wikipedia hasn't been up for grabs by commercial entities. I wouldn't mind if someone made a living selling printed versions of parts of Wikipedia (printing everything might be a challenge) as long as they're honest about it (and maybe spend some resources improving it (giving back their improvements to the community), just like companies such as Red Hat and Canonical improve Linux and still honour the GPL license). Get well soon
Sorry to hear about your injury, but interesting to see that wiki editing is part of your stringent recovery regime :) Hope to see you at an event soon. Also, congratulations about beating Jimmy with your banner!--Pharos(talk) 20:30, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
Interview
Hi Susan! How have you been? I miss working with you on an article so badly =(. Matthew Roth from Wikimedia Foundation came all the way down to Brazil to meet us Brazilian wikipedians in person. I was interviewed today =)! We had a very pleasant chat, he's a great guy! He told me about your interview. He described you as a very wise, gentle and kind person. Just the way I imagine you. I told him I look forward to meeting you in person. As wikipedia goes, I've always considered you as a mentor. A very competent one! =)
Very best wishes! Daniel Cavallari (talk) 00:02, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
GaneshBot
Hi Susan. Can you take over from me checking the latest batch of GaneshBot, since it's getting a bit late in the evening over here? I've come as far as Kejdonia cachiai. I couldn't move fast this time as I've encountered several problems and had to send emails to WoRMS. Also a number of synonyms haven't been mentioned in WoRMS, but you can find them here[1] by looking first under the genus name and, if not found, search under the epithet. JoJan (talk) 19:43, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
- Let me see what I can do JoJan. I am not experienced with this process like you are, so it will take me a while to get the hang of it I expect, also, even though it is early here I am tired and about to take a nap. I am not sure how much more Wikipedia work I will get to this afternoon and evening. Best, Invertzoo (talk) 19:49, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry I was not able to do it yesterday due to tiredness. Today I have exercises and then physical therapy and will have to see how much energy I have by this afternoon. Thanks, Invertzoo (talk) 14:54, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
Awesome Mentor - Wikipedia Project Gastropods
Wavy Gastropod Barnstar | |
For being a great friend and mentor to new members of theWikiproject Gastropods, which I have been introduced and inducted by your invitation, and for your help in getting me accustomed to the project and "waving me on" as a new editor in Wikipedia. Thank you again, and keep up the great work. Shellnut (talk) 22:02, 6 November 2011 (UTC) |
- Well done for designing a new barnstar, it looks great! I will add it to the other available WikiProject Gastropod barnstars on the project page. Invertzoo (talk) 15:12, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Re: Question about needed genus articles
Hi Susan, It is best if you create the needed genus articles. Your edits will be much better than what the bot can do. I am the getting the bot to work on one family at a time. The needed genus articles are spread across many families. It will be a few years before the bot gets to these families (at the rate of 100 stubs per run :).— Ganeshk (talk)23:52, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
Re: Snail slime
Hi Susan, I use Flickr2Commons [2] for Flickr uploads. It is really easy once you have aTUSC account. I have uploaded the snail slime image and updated the article. —Ganeshk (talk) 23:55, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- And next time you see "some rights reserved", just click on it. If it links to Creative Commons, you are good to go. — Ganeshk(talk) 23:58, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
Tangling and not scrambling
It's good to hear from you Invertzoo. I see athletic woman are prone to your injury. Too much chasing after scuttling crustaceans and galloping gastropods? Maybe tangle nets are the way to go --Epipelagic(talk) 08:42, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Conidae and related Alternative Representation Genera
Hi Invertzoo! I left you a detailed message on my talk page. Just a quick note here. I saw that Ganesk made a nice article "List of Conus species" and tried to put a link to it on the main family article Conidae up front where people can get to it easy. My link does not work, probably because the way the article is titled has some syntax up front that I can't figure out how to link to. Ganeshk's article is important but it gets lost in Wikipedia without a link from the family article. As of now I will stop all further work on this family and any genera or alternative genera thereunder until I hear back from you or JoJan.Shellnut(talk) 22:09, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
- I fixed the link to list of Conus species, the link syntax can't deal with trying to put the word Conus into italics. Invertzoo (talk) 22:46, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification
Hi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

Re: Two questions
Hi Susan, I don't think the template is too big at this time. If need be, the template can be broken down by creating list articles, List of National Lampoon Books and Special editions, List of National Lampoon Recordings etc. These list articles can be linked on the main template. A separate template can then be made for each category and placed on the actual articles.
The special character # is not allowed on article titles. SeeWikipedia:Naming_conventions#Special_characters andWikipedia:Page_name#Invalid_page_names. —Ganeshk (talk) 02:09, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
