Speedy deletion nomination of Mastrering the business of acting
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Mastrering the business of acting requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13834326/plotsummary. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello James245012. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:James245012. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=James245012|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. CUPIDICAE💕 20:58, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hi,
- I am not being paid, I was just trying to create a Wiki Page, I have cited multiple sources and when I try to delete one you ask of; the page is deleted because it removed the speedy deletion. I forgot that I had to post to Articles for Creation rather directly, your posting methods are a tad confusing. If I could try to resubmit it would be greatly appreciated James245012 (talk) 19:59, 21 April 2022 (UTC)
- We don't have "Wiki pages", we have articles. 331dot (talk) 21:23, 26 April 2022 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Mastering the Business of Acting. CUPIDICAE💕 20:59, 18 April 2022 (UTC)

Block message:
Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Wiki Why Not Post". The reason given for Wiki Why Not Post's block is: "{{checkuserblock-account}}": Hi, So I am looking for someone to help me so I don't make the same mistakes. I would like to discontinue all the accounts that are attached to this one via Sock Puppet and know how to label them as such. If you could remove the IP ban it would also be great as I can't create a new account for a fresh start. I would also like to know how to label the new account properly as a paid source in order to not have this situation happen again. All in all I am simply trying to put up a production article for a tv series that my company created. I am currently the only one tasked with trying to get our tv series its Wikipedia page. If someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated. Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Dafdl6".
Decline reason: You are not autoblocked, you are blocked directly. Please read WP:GAB for appeal instructions 331dot (talk) 21:21, 26 April 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not an admin but gonna point out the obvious that the IP would be blocked since you were blocked for using said account the IP belongs to. PRAXIDICAE💕 20:53, 26 April 2022 (UTC)
- I am aware of how IP blocks work, thank you for clarifying though. James245012 (talk) 23:47, 26 April 2022 (UTC)

Unblock III

Request reason:
I sent this email to the arbitration committee a few days ago, they haven't responded yet. But I do want to say I understand what I did wrong. I just am looking for help moving forward. Hi, So I am currently dealing with an IP ban over a misunderstanding when it came to sock puppetry. First off I would like to state for the record that I have no experience with Wikipedia before this whole incident started and I would like to explain what happened. I received a position working as a new assistant to replace the old assistant for my company Black Hawk Entertainment a month ago. I was tasked by my boss to resubmit the draft of the Wikipedia page that they had attached to the account James245012. This was the previous assistants account that he used to create the draft. I logged in as James245012, not knowing what I was doing published the article like I was asked to. But clearly after this whole ordeal I learned that is not what my boss wanted. So in response to Wikipedia seeing a random page that wasn't approved, I was given a speedy deletion ban for Mastering the Business of Acting. Now since this draft was still a work in progress, it was immediately flagged as an advertisement. "Ok its going to be deleted", so my thinking was fix the errors that are being recorded at the top and it wont be deleted. When I try to "resubmit" again, basically publishing a biased draft article again, it deleted the speedy deletion and the page was flagged again for trying to removed a speedy deletion. The page was deleted and draft lost. My boss was not happy with that mistake. So I again tried to fix my mistake by recreating a new, non-biased version. Make it better than before. So I started a new account, the one I am currently emailing you from to create a new page. Not realizing since I kept activity on the other account, the old assistants, and now creating a new account it was against the rules of Wikipedia. So now I have deleted the draft that they spent months organizing and have now flagged all accounts as sock puppetry. What more could go wrong right? Well since I am new to Wikipedia I typed in the name of the page. But every time I did an old draft from 2021 kept popping up. With my boss upset I said screw it, just edit this one. So I started editing and editing, and eventually some one was watching and tossed an IP ban on me and my place of work. Now to make matters worse, not reading the rules all the way through led to me putting my foot in my mouth multiple times. Such as saying in one appeal that I am the sole user of all three accounts. Which sounds like I created all three accounts and am the only one using them. But what I meant was I just had access to them and no one else did, not that I was using them individually to make it seem like it was a team. Also great! So I am asking the committee to help me in some way figure my way out of this mess? If someone could lift the IP ban that's on the accounts and show me how to delete or mark all the accounts that are in this mess as "no longer active" it would be greatly appreciated. I would like also to be pointed in a direction where someone can take over submitting and editing the wiki page so we can keep Wikipedia truly unbias. These are the lesson learned 1. I am not as smart as I think I am when it comes to Technology. 2. That I really should read the directions before trying to blindly posting things and infuriate the community. I am truly sorry that I created this mess for not only myself but also for the admins trying to do there job. So I hope we can work this out. I hope this message finds you well! Best, A dumbass James245012 (talk) 19:28, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
OK, so the Arbitration Committee can take a bit of time to respond to stuff, but they will get round to it in the fullness of time and take whatever action they see fit. As an individual admin and checkuser however, I am declining this unblock request. I do sympathise with you for getting in trouble with your boss, but really, I can't help but feel that your employer should have looked into the terms of use of this website before asking an employee to edit here as part of their job. All editing here should be done on behalf of this project, not as part of the marketing drive for a TV show - you should leave it to unconnected contributors to write articles about your shows. There are lots of editors here with an interest in TV shows, it will inevitably get written if the show is notable. As for lifting the any IP block - that's only in place to prevent you from trying to circumvent your block. Unless you plan to create yet another account and continue editing, I don't see any reason to lift it. Girth Summit (blether) 17:15, 13 May 2022 (UTC)

User talk:Girth Summit I plan to create a new account in order to ask for help from the Wikipedia community to finish creating the page. Could you also remind me how I committed sock puppetry if the accounts were created and used by three different people?
