October 2016
[edit]Hello, I'm Agtx. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Your creation of redirects appears to be promotional in nature. "Black owned businesses" does not mean the same thing as "WhereU" so the redirect is not appropriate. agtx 16:04, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
Note
[edit]Hi Jasonmerin. When you are including dates in the short description for example, please use an en dash instead e.g. "(1900–2000)". Also, in the case of monarchs, we typically just include the years they reigned, for example "from 1200 to 1250" or "(r. 1200–1250)". Thanks. Mellk (talk) 05:05, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- For example here, we do not need the spaces in the date range. Perhaps it would make sense for historical articles were circa is used e.g. "(c. 1250 – 1300)". Mellk (talk) 10:47, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
