Back in 2019, you wrote: "Mendocino High School did not open until 1894, when Look Tin Eli was 24 years old. He was educated by a Yale-educated man who went by the name of G.Canning Smith. Chinese were not permitted to attend public schools until LTE was already out of school." What references do you have for this? I would like to read about LTE's education. Thanks.
