Hi, there. Concerning the Karmapa controversy article, I still don't quite understand why you think it's necessary to cover the same meeting twice in the same article. Also, Wikipedia cannot use the image that you uploaded because you have not stated who owns it and whether they have agreed for it to be used in Wikipedia.—Nat Krause(Talk!·What have I done?) 21:17, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello; I'm going to post the same notice here that I did on User talk:69.226.241.0. Namely,
I noticed that you changed the link to www.karmapa-issue.org in the Karmapa controversy page to a link to to www.kagyuoffice.org . However, the latter link seems to violate Wikipedia's guideline WP:EL#Avoid undue weight on particular points of view. I may be wrong, however. Please review Wikipedia's external link guideline, and its neutral point of view policy. Thank you, and happy editing!
I won't revert you if you choose to do it again, but please start a talk page discussion about it first before doing anything (click on the "Discussion" tab at the top of the page, and start a new topic). GracenotesT § 02:02, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Karmapa controversy recent events

[edit]

Dear Nat,

Thank you for your intent on updating and verifying the recent events of the Karmapa controversy. The choice of International Karma Kagyu Buddhist Association is in itself a one sided leaning towards one candidate.

Admittedly, my choice favors His Holiness Orgyen Trinley Dorje, as He is my root guru. The picture depicted shows three people in attendance during the said meeting, the IKKBA picture only shows two. More importantly, the picture I uploaded shows His Holiness Orgyen Trinley Dorje actually sitting in front of a table filled with khata offerings as well as being the central figure in the picture. This is why I have the need to keep publishing this picture, unless you have a way of making sure that this is the picture (the whole story picture) that is being presented in the recent events section.

Konrad

Let's collaborate to create a version that references both websites. We had been using the IKKBO source only because they reported it first, and so we had that here first. As for the image, I would love to have it on Wikipedia, but this is impossible without information about who owns the photo and whether they have given permission.—Nat Krause(Talk!·What have I done?) 21:35, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Nat,

Sure, I think you just edited it?

Konrad

Fair use rationale for File:070112delhi.300.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:070112delhi.300.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Killiondude (talk) 08:54, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
