Please see Wikipedia's policy regarding dead links here: wp:KDL "Keep dead links" That policy was set as there is a huge amount old content on Wikipedia that is referenced with dead links which has not / can not be recovered. Deleting such content would be highly detrimental to Wikipedia.

As the one who wants to remove that content, you should be doing the footwork. You can go through the wp:page history to locate where the edit was added. That particular reference was added in July 2013. You can see its addition here. It would seem that if there was a problem with the source, someone would have noticed awhile back? I notice that the date of access "|accessdate=20 August 2012" is earlier than the edit date: 4 July 2013. Interestingly DesignDeath (talk · contribs) added another link which the access date was also different.

If someone undoes your edit, please start a discussion on the talk page. In this case talk:Tomie. See help:talk pages. Use wp:notifications to alert that person (and perhaps others involved in recently editing the article). See wp:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle (BRD) regarding Wikipedia policy on the matter. Thank you Jim1138 talk 20:45, 10 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please see wp:neutral point of view (POV/NPOV) regarding what is NPOV. "The Tomie stories also fascinate in the way they exemplify a distinctly Japanese cultural variation of a prevalent pan-Asian and even worldwide theme that underlies the ubiquitous patriarchal, male chauvinistic domination of society that still prevails despite all the efforts of the feminist movements." I don't see that as a NPOV issues. I would strongly recommend that you read the talk/discussions in talk:men's rights movement, talk:misandry, talk:misogyny discussing this sort of thing. Be sure to view the talk page archives. Cheers Jim1138 talk 21:09, 10 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
