Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Regarding IABot usage

[edit]

Are you making sure to double check the archive links added by IABot to ensure they work? I noticed some issues with some of the archives you added to some video games that were on my watchlist - on SSX Blur the archive link is for the Gametrailers YouTube channel in general rather than the specific review, and for me at least the archive link doesn't work properly and refreshes the page repeatedly rather than display, and on Secret of Evermore the Newspapers.com archive links added don't really display anything useful for verifying the content as it's subscribers-only, and on Darkspore the archive is for Gamedeveloper's landing page rather than the dead Gamesutra link, and the reviews on the Metacritic page don't load, with the archive only showing the overall score. Also on FIFA 18 the Forbes archives only display an empty white page with the Forbes header at the top. For some sites (like Metacritic and Forbes) archive.ph archives are more suitable due to issues with newer archives of the sites on Archive.org. Waxworker (talk) 03:48, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Waxworker I noticed some issues as well. LordRapture (talk) 07:22, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Internet Archive has been down a good portion of yesterday and to my knowledge all of today due to the DDOS attacks and the data breach - have you been able to access Archive.org to double check the archives you're adding? I also noticed that on Lode Runner 3-D you changed the title of the article of the Gamers' Republic review ref and I was unable to double check the Archive.org scan to see if the article says "Blade Runner" or not, is the title change accurate? Waxworker (talk) 16:39, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I stopped using IABot because it tends to do more harm than good. LordRapture (talk) 19:29, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Punctuation and formatting changes

[edit]

Hi, thanks for your extensive copy-editing contributions. I've noticed you continue to incorrectly change punctuation within articles; per MOS:LQ, the logical quotation style should be used, so punctuation should be kept outside of quotation marks unless directly quoted. You also keep adding double spacing after some headings, which I assume is a syntactical error but should probably be avoided if possible. See my edit here for a specific example. Please also avoid capitalising "multiplayer" in the video game infobox per WP:VG/STYLE, and avoid adding external links to sites like GameFAQs and IGN per WP:VG/EL. Thanks. Thanks for the clarification. I will keep that in mind. LordRapture (talk) 07:20, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, please don't bullet navbox templates. Doing so causes a tracked syntax error called "Multiline HTML table in list" and it squishes the box title and the show/hide button on two lines instead displaying on a standard single line. Thank you! Zinnober9 (talk) 19:59, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't notice this before. Thanks. LordRapture (talk) 21:41, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
