Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Hümaşah Sultan (daughter of Şehzade Mehmed), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ottoman. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Deletion of Param Sant Bahadur Chand (Vakil Sahib Ji)

[edit]

Hi you have deleted a page called " Param Sant Bahadur Chand (Vakil Sahib Ji)"

I would like to highlight that he is a mystic / saint and a param sant in India. A successor of

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sawan_Singh

There have been many branches of radha soami faith across the world and many furhter guru's even on wikipedia.

There are millions of followers of this guru and hence like the other guru's are on wiki even our guru needs to be there.

I can list out atleast 10 more guru's with similar radha soami faith which wiki is allowing.

Request you to pls have this page uploaded. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Justpk (talkcontribs) 10:14, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please, contact the administrator who has deleted the page. S/he can give you a heads up! Malunrenta (talk) 16:13, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for marking that the former version was too long, specially the history part and that It wasn't written in a neutral point of view. I have made a shorter version and I have rewritten it. The history part was too detailed and as far as I understand it the most interesting part was underlining its link to the Mondragon Corporation (Arizmendiarrieta’s influence, to be exact, the priest that founded this cooperative movement), since that’s what it gives ULMA its particular characteristics as a worker cooperative with a worldwide dimension. I have get rid of the certificates and qualifications part since I think it was too technical for the Wikipedia reader. The projects sections is far shorter, too. Just enough information to show its worldwide dimension which, again, it’s what I think makes ULMA particular, considering its nature as a worker cooperative which is usually linked to small businesses. Do you think that now it is good enough to be in Wikipedia? What changes should I do? --Ikerm (talk) 13:52, 8 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Rajee En Kanmani - Additional Citation

[edit]

Hi, I have given citation to the entire contents of the article. The main citation is a review of the film by a leading English language newspaper that is published for more than 100 years. If this is not a reliable source, there can't be another. The second citation is a database of "Film News" Anandan, who is a well-known and reliable person in the Tamil film world. His database is available in printed book form but I gave the web URL for easy reference. The website is also a reliable source run by a famous musical instruments company in Chennai. Please let me know why you decided these two are not reliable sources. --Uksharma3 (talk) 01:10, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the speedy deletion from this page. You may want to put it up for deletion at WP:AfD as its claims for notability are small. Rmhermen (talk) 18:42, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notability on JetPrivilege

[edit]

Hi Malun, I noticed that you had put a notability tag on the page. JetPrivilege is a very old brand that has been revamped into a seperate frequent flyer program post jet airways and etihad business deal. The program is no longer restricted to only Jet Airways and now covers other airlines too. I believe this fact is quite enough to establish its notability. Apart from that i have added some more reference links that might help make the page look more notable. Request you to kindly review this page once again and let me know whether the page is notable enough, if not then what can be done further to establish notability. Awaiting your reply

Thanks, --Vishwanath7 (talk) 17:53, 27 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

User group: New Page Reviewr

[edit]

Hello Malunrenta.

Based on the patrols you made of new pages during a qualifying period in 2016, your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed.

New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia, if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.

  • Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
  • Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:34, 19 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Review - newsletter

[edit]
Hello Malunrenta,
Breaking the back of the backlog
We now have 805 New Page Reviewers! Most of you requested the user right to be able to do something about the huge backlog. Now it's time for action.
Mid July to 01 Oct 2016

If each reviewer does only 10 reviews a day over five days, the backlog will be down to zero and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
Let's get that over and done with in time to relax for the holidays.

Second set of eyes

Not only are New Page Reviewers the guardians of quality of new articles, they are also in a position to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged for deletion and maintenance and that new authors are not being bitten. This is an important feature of your work. Read about it at the new Monitoring the system section in the tutorial.

Getting the tools we need - 2016 WMF Wishlist Survey: Please vote

With some tweaks to their look, and some additional features, Page Curation and New Pages Feed could easily be the best tools for patrollers and reviewers. We've listed most of what what we need at the 2016 WMF Wishlist Survey. Voting starts on 28 November - please turn out to make our bid the Foundation's top priority. Please help also by improving or commenting on our Wishlist entry at the Community Wishlist Survey. Many other important user suggestions are listed at at Page Curation.

New Page Review - newsletter No.2

[edit]
Hello Malunrenta,
A HUGE backlog

We now have 805 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.

Hitting 17,000 soon

The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.

Second set of eyes

Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.

Abuse

This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and

  1. this very recent case of paid advertising by a Reviewer resulting in a community ban.
  2. this case in January of paid advertising by a Reviewer, also resulting in a community ban.
  3. This Reviewer is indefinitely blocked for sockpuppetry.

Coordinator election

[edit]

Kudpung is stepping down after 6 years as unofficial coordinator of New Page Patrolling/Reviewing. There is enough work for two people and two coords are now required. Details are at NPR Coordinators; nominate someone or nominate yourself. Date for the actual suffrage will be published later.

Please, check the message on your talk page. --Malunrenta (talk) 04:54, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I can't read the deleted page, but I imagine the issue might have been that the article was not written and referenced in an acceptable encylopedic manner, rather than the notability of Tom Syrowski. When I have a moment I may write a new article on Syrowski. Soniamaddox (talk) 12:58, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have now written that new article. Soniamaddox (talk) 12:12, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you asked for the New Page Reviewer right, please consider investing a bit of time - every little helps preventing spam and trash entering the mainspace and Google when the 'NO_INDEX' tags expire.

Article reviewed

Hi.. Thanks for reviewing the Mambai people (Timor) article that I've created. Also not to forget to remove the "New unreviewed article" tag in the article too. Really appreciate your time for going through the article. Thanks again. Jeblat (talk) 16:55, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've declined your speedy there as there is a claim to notability (which overrides the significance requirement at A7). She is stated to have been a Member of Parliament, which passes WP:POLITICIAN. MP is equivalent to US Congressman, and to pass politician, you only need state level, e.g. Arizona State Legislature, Scottish Parliament or Welsh Assembly, or the legislative assemblies of places like Kedah, Uttar Pradesh, and so on. It can get a bit tricky sorting out the titles of the various assemblies and their members world-wide, but Member of Parliament is a clear pass (unless it is clearly not through being a 'Junior' play version, of course - the ones we get of those are usually arrogant little b****rs who have to be explained to quite seriously that they aren't anyone notable yet...). Of course, a claim isn't always a certainty, and there can be hoaxes, but that'a a dirrerent kettle of fish. Peridon (talk) 17:45, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I created the page Envision BI. It was not meant to be advertised. I collected the data from their website and tried to put the facts on the wikipedia page. This is similar to the Power BI page, if Envision BI is deleted then I believe Power BI page should also hold the same value and should be deleted. I request you to please have a look at the page and see the content in it, if there is something favoring or promoting it personally then we can rephrase the sentence but that BI tool is new in the market and needs to have a wikipedia page. New Page Review - Newsletter No.4

[edit]
Hello Malunrenta,

Since rolling out the right in November, just 6 months ago, we now have 805 reviewers, but the backlog is still mysteriously growing fast. If every reviewer did just 55 reviews, the 22,000 backlog would be gone, in a flash, schwoop, just like that!

But do remember: Rather than speed, quality and depth of patrolling and the use of correct CSD criteria are essential to good reviewing. Do not over-tag. Make use of the message feature to let the creator know about your maintenance tags. See the tutorial again HERE. Get help HERE.

Stay up to date with recent new page developments and have your say, read THIS PAGE.

Backlog update:

  • The new page backlog is currently at 18,511 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
  • Some editors are committing to work specifically on patrolling new pages on 15 July. If you have not reviewed new pages in a while, this might be a good time to be involved. Please remember that quality of patrolling is more important than quantity, that the speedy deletion criteria should be followed strictly, and that ovetagging for minor issues should be avoided.
