I just got back from the Dolomites!--NØ 19:01, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- I hope that you had a nice and relaxing time! Aoba47 (talk) 22:59, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hi MaranoFan, hope your trip to the Dolomites went well and you had a good time - I love that part of the world, and super jealous! Just to say, I'm really glad that the "saga" last week with HJ Mitchell and the block and all that was resolved amicably. Hopefully with the IBAN in place you can have a more peaceful and drama-free Wiki-existence going forward and get back to doing what you do best over in the article space. Hopefully no hard feelings and I look forward to seeing you around at FAC if and when I finally get some time back in my life to write some articles myself! Cheers — Amakuru (talk) 10:19, 17 October 2023 (UTC)

Hi, MaranoFan. I'm just posting to let you know that Julia Michaels discography – a list that you have been heavily involved with – has been chosen to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured list for November 13. The TFL blurb can be seen here. If you have any thoughts on the selection, please post them on my talk page or at TFL talk. Regards, Giants2008 (Talk) 00:31, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
TFA
Thank you today for Made You Look (Meghan Trainor song), introduced: "After years of experimenting with different genres to little to no commercial returns, Trainor returned to her doo-wop roots and delivered a shocking comeback with this global top-10 single. Although not her most acclaimed release, it appealed to TikTok users and the rest is history." - on top of new featured content! -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:09, 21 October 2023 (UTC)

Meghan Trainor TFA
Hello! I realize this is post facto, but the reason given in your edit summary, that album titles and the word Billboard should always be italicized
, is also why I amended the formatting. Basically: the bracketed phrase as a whole is already in italics, and applying further italics within it should have the effect of regular text. Hence I think
- (This article is part of two featured topics: Takin' It Back and Meghan Trainor's Billboard Hot 100 entries.)
should have been the correct stylization. Hope this is clear! — RAVENPVFF · talk · 00:48, 22 October 2023 (UTC)

- I am sure they will do well. I find that it can just boil down to luck. Sometimes reviewers in general are more active than at other times, but that's just my opinion. You could always see if you did anything different with the Trainor FACs versus the Adele FACs, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. For better or for worse, I think certain things are outside of people's control. I am looking forward to your Rodrigo FACs. Aoba47 (talk) 10:26, 13 November 2023 (UTC)

my story today |
---|
- Congratulations! And thank you today for To Be Loved (Adele song), "about Adele's song "To Be Loved". It was one of the few songs she played for her father shortly prior to his dying from cancer, an event that ended with them both in tears. Critics viewed "To Be Loved" as a standout on 30, and it ended 2021 as one of the most acclaimed songs of the year despite missing a commercial single release. Her acclaimed vocals on the song were described as "squalls and ragged screams" and "a howl of pain". Although Adele vowed never to perform it live, a pre-recorded performance of it was well-received on social media." - Coincidentally, I made a song my story today (because we sang it yesterday) that was written facing the death of many, and the DYK appeared on the author's birthday. Germany has a remembrance day today. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:52, 19 November 2023 (UTC)

- Nice job! Didn't realise you did Adele too! Is Taylor the only female solo artist you don't do? ;) I haven't followed Adele closely in recent years but When We Were Young and Set Fire to the Rain are on my playlist. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 16:35, 19 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi MaranoFan, I'm sorry, but this song (which you requested at WP:TFAP) won't be running at WP:Today's featured article/January 2024. There are so many categories to cover these days that I can only run one (modern) song per month. You may have more luck with a song request at WP:TFAR rather than WP:TFAP in February or March. Congratulations on the featured article promotion. - Dank (push to talk) 04:59, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
- Good news (for song fans): I've finished my review of everything I have to pull from this month (for TFA), and I'm going to change the song criterion to "one 21st-century song per month". The other song at TFA in January is from 30 years ago, so now I can run one more. I've pinged User:Your_Power: they said they'd be happy to run theirs in February, and I just want to make sure that's going to happen ... if it is, then your Trainor song is on for Jan 31. - Dank (push to talk) 20:58, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, things are looking good for Sza in February, so: the Trainor blurb will appear at WP:Today's featured article/January 31, 2024 soon-ish. Feel free to edit or comment. - Dank (push to talk) 23:06, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- There's no problem with this, it will run but ... ugh! I just looked more closely and realized this is an album rather than a song. That was probably confusing, sorry. - Dank (push to talk) 23:32, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice! The album actually does have a song called "Treat Myself" but that is definitely not notable, lol.--NØ 07:53, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
