[edit]All unsourced information from a biography must be deleted. Do not add it back or I will report you. Also, the sources must be reliable. See WP:RS. BoogieWithStu (talk) 15:38, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, second warning. Try reading WP:BLP, too. BoogieWithStu (talk) 16:34, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
(NSNMN (talk) 18:05, 25 September 2018 (UTC)) Hi, thank you for the message. Many many of entries on this page have now been supported with references - 10 in all. The information is entirely accurate and the references are relevant. If every sentence needs to be referenced then a whole heap of material all over Wikipedia would need to be deleted. Thank you, once again.
- No, you're wrong and it's quite obvious that you did not read WP:BLP or WP:RS. I've taken this to WP:BLPN. BoogieWithStu (talk) 18:59, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for September 23
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tanya Ekanayaka, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages British and Sri Lankan (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:25, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion
[edit]Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Meatsgains(talk) 18:35, 26 September 2018 (UTC) Thanks for the note. It seems we both now agree on the details and page though. Thanks for your help, once again.
Hi Meatsgains - The claim on page Tanya Ekanayaka 'This article or section may have been copied and pasted from another location, possibly in violation of Wikipedia's copyright policy. Please review https://www.naxos.com/person/Tanya_Ekanayaka/232400.htm (DupDet · CopyVios) and remedy this by editing this article to remove any non-free copyrighted content and attributing free content correctly, or flagging the content for deletion. Please be sure that the supposed source of the copyright violation is not itself a Wikipedia mirror. (September 2018)' is no longer relevant as the page and potential sentence in concern (first sentence of page) has been edited. Therefore the tag should be removed.

[edit]Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially, as the page in question is currently under restrictions from the Arbitration Committee, if you violate the one-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than one revert on a single page with active Arbitration Committee restrictions within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the one-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the one-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at User talk:Meatsgains, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Please don't remove the Sinebot signature as you did here, even if you were the one who left that comment while logged out. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 21:34, 27 September 2018 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, NSNMN. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Tanya Ekanayaka, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 08:00, 5 October 2018 (UTC)
Understood Bonadea bonadea and thank you.
bonadea a friend of mine has occasionally assisted with the page mostly in technical aspects - always in my presence. Hence the reference to 'we' though the user account belongs to a single user.
Can you please check the page Tanya Ekanayaka, make necessary edits so as to resolve this issue and then remove the page issue notices? I have no conflict of interest with the subject.
- Regarding the above, who are "we" in e.g. this post? --bonadea contributions talk 14:22, 5 October 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Do you have a COI with this article?Slatersteven (talk) 09:43, 5 October 2018 (UTC)
Slatersteven (talk), I do not. I have not been paid to make any contribution to this or any other page. I am a well wisher and someone who recognises the artistic and humanitarian contribution of this subject to the world. I am not a professional Wikipedia editor or user and the edits made have been made with reference to evidence based material on the internet. If errors have been made, please correct them. It has been the hope that other impartial and fair users would contribute to this page. Instead, this page has become the focus of a particular user whose edits have involved attacking me, making widespread deletions including a list of external reference URLs and now the subject. The subject has not, to my knowledge, requested to be on Wikipedia. The COI implicates the subject negatively - the subject being someone who does not have a voice on Wikipedia - the statement that the content is being edited by someone 'closely connected' to the subject *does* reflect negatively on the subject (a living person who has a life and career outwith Wikipedia). It implies that the subject of the article is consorting with people engaged in unethical behavior. Therefore I respectfully ask that the COI be removed and edits be made to the page compliant with Wikipedia conventions and ethics. Please help. Thank you.
- You should stop editing the article completely. If you want to make changes to the article, suggest them on the Talk page, and gain a consensus for those changes. Otherwise, you risk being blocked for promotional disruptive editing and WP:CIR.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:37, 5 October 2018 (UTC)
Hi Bbb23 Bbb23 (talk), why is the discography section irrelevant to a composer when details of published works by NEARLY ALL composers listed on Wikipedia are included on their Wikipedia pages??! You have deleted ALL this information despite it being referenced. Therefore, I will undo it for now and hope this change will be accepted in good faith. Thank you. Also, see reference to subject's thesis in infobox and details of the music released - the subject has a PhD in Linguistics and Musicology. The subject is also the producer of the two solo CDs mentioned in the 'Career' section. Thank you. Hence the little edits. Hope this makes sense.— Preceding unsigned comment added by NSNMN (talk • contribs) 13:42, 5 October 2018 (UTC)
- Please suggest changes on the article's talk page, per Bbb23. --bonadea contributions talk 14:04, 5 October 2018 (UTC)
bonadea contributions - can you please link the URL to the article's talk page here? I do not know where to find it. Thank you.
- OK I shall remove it as you have denied the claim. If others still have concerns it should be raised on a noticeboard.Slatersteven (talk) 14:30, 5 October 2018 (UTC)
Thank you, Slatersteven (talk).
- The talk page is at Talk:Tanya Ekanayaka. It is reachable from the article through a tab at the top of the page. --bonadea contributions talk 14:34, 5 October 2018 (UTC). Thank you, Bonadea bonadea.
