No consensus closing of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Karen Arnold
Hello NA. Please re-visit Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Karen Arnold, a debate you closed as No consensus.
Further to Andreas Philopater's CU confirmed SPI filing on User:Tonyinman (nominator) and the delete WP:CASTer User:Totolatin, Rich Farmbrough sockstroked at 01:18:30. As your closure followed 98 seconds later at 01:20:08 I suspect you may have missed this. Thanks. Sam Sailor Talk! 16:22, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks. I had seen the struck !vote from the socking user. Despite this, there was no consensus in the discussion for a particular action. North America1000 01:23, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- I agree that was the right call. There were honest and defensible delete opinions, and the notability is relatively borderline; I'd have been less inclined to speak up for keeping the article myself if I hadn't smelled something fishy. --Andreas Philopater (talk) 14:22, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

Please WP:REFUND if you would be so kind. All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 00:37, 3 December 2015 (UTC).
- Hello Rich Farmbrough: A problem is that per the deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/John Jennens, it was determined that the subject does not presently meet Wikipedia's notability standards (e.g. see WP:BASIC and WP:NOTE) for inclusion in the encyclopedia. Per the overall arguments and consensus at the deletion discussion, I'm not allowed to restore the deleted article under these circumstances.
- Can you provide any evidence that the subject may meet any of Wikipedia's notability criteria? This would serve to provide a means for the article to be recreated. For example, has the subject received significant coverage in reliable sources that is beyond routine, local coverage? North America1000 02:38, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
- I'm looking for userfication here, not recreation in article space. All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 15:49, 5 December 2015 (UTC).
- Hi Rich Farmbrough: It would be inappropriate for me to userfy, because this would serve to circumvent the consensus reached at the AfD discussion, essentially republishing the article despite consensus for its deletion. Per WP:FAKEARTICLE, "userspace is not a free web host and should not be used to indefinitely host pages that look like articles, old revisions, or deleted content" (underline emphasis mine). Furthermore, if it were to be userfied, per WP:STALEDRAFT point #2, the page would then have the potential to be subjected to yet another deletion discussion at MfD. Note that deleted pages can often be found in Deletionpedia or in the Wayback Machine hosted by the Internet Archive. North America1000 06:06, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
- So email it to me then. All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 13:28, 10 December 2015 (UTC).

Expansion ideas
- @Hafspajen: N.b. Here's a link to a blog with significant information about detailed aspects in the painting. Upon searches, some of the content in the blog can also be found in reliable sources, which can then be used in the article. Below I have listed some of the details in the painting that have been stated to have various meanings (per the blog source). North America1000 07:27, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
- From the source above, "Several strategically placed images..." "...express his overall concern of the local politics surrounding the city of Antwerp."
- Upper left-hand corner: Two hands on the placard are a symbol of Antwerp
- At right: the man pouring water into the wine container is a butcher, and is wearing a red coat because in Antwerp only butchers were allowed to wear this symbol, which represents being a guild member.
- From the source above, regarding the chalk drawings on the supporting beam at left: "chalk drawings that were typically noted to belong to specific individuals within the guilds of Antwerp. However, the individuals that these specific marks represent is unknown and continues to remain a mystery."
- I added some content to the article about the message on the placard from a reliable source I found. The blog source has additional information about the placard.

Backstopping me
Hi. Hate to bug you again. I just closed an AfD, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The WINTYR, as Userfy for the first time. I moved the article into draftspace, Draft:The WINTYR, and alerted the article's creator. Is that the correct way to "Userfy"? Onel5969 TT me 14:06, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Onel5969: Actually, userfication involves moving content into a user's userspace, whereas "draftify" or "draftification" involves moving content into draft namespace. See Wikipedia:Namespace for more information about various namespaces.
- The page was moved again by another user after your initial page move to change the title, and is now located at Draft:The Wintyr. At this point, to avoid any confusion, it's probably best just to leave it in draft namespace. I have notified Tristcarmichael on their talk page about the new location of the draft (diff). Hi. It's me again asking for help. In the above discussion, as part of their argument, an editor has linked the AfD to different categories. While I have no issue with them using the argument (other than I feel it's a case of OSE), I'm not sure the way they did it is appropriate. Would you mind taking a look? I would have changed them to links, and removed the cats, but I'm involved in the discussion and didn't want to be accused of tampering with another editor's !vote. Thanks.
