Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, Nothing2Do.eu, may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it internet address. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. Peter 16:59, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

I've choose this username because I own this web address !

Still against policy. See WP:SPAMNAME -- wiooiw (talk) 06:05, 29 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

perhaps against the first sentence, but I'm the only one who own this address, so it's not a group of person, it's me !!! but if you read the second sentence ("Your username should represent you."), and the third ("Accounts that represent an entire group or company are not permitted"), you see that my "prohibited" name (as you say) is permited. the first sentence isn't limitative ! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nothing2Do.eu (talkcontribs) 08:14, 29 May 2010

In my original message above, I said the username was against the username policy because of Wikipedia:SPAMNAME#Internet_addresses. I believe you that you are not representing a group or company, that is not my concern. The section on internet addresses says "E-mail addresses and URLs are not valid usernames. Plain domain names are sometimes acceptable, such as when the purpose of the domain is simply to identify you as a person...". User:Nothing2Do is not registered, and I think it would be a good idea if you submit a request here to change your name to that, as that is the plain domain name version of your current one which is a URL. I hope you can understand that we have these policies in place because Wikipedia aims to be a neutral encyclopedia, and any kind of promotion goes against that goal. Peter 13:20, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

So, it's a personal identifier and I don't want to change it (and thats because your system find that Nothing2do and Nothing2Do is too similar). It's my last word. I'm in my right and it's to have the same user name on fr.wikipedia.org and en.wikipedia.org ... Nothing2Do.eu (talk) 07:22, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, Nothing2Do.eu, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. -- Cirt (talk) 05:59, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
