Your edits about access data for country profiles

[edit]

Thanks for adding all this access data to the country profiles. However, please take a look how I have just changed it for the article on Drinking water supply and sanitation in the United States and please do it accordingly for the others. I.e. no need to say "according to WASHWatch" (reference itself is sufficient) and please round to sensible numbers - millions in most cases, I guess. I also spoke about this with Ruth on Tuesday, did she mention it to you yet? EMsmile (talk) 14:48, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Really great to see that you're continuing with this, User:Nsoqe. I have two suggestions: Let's round big figures, so instead of 3 643 000, I would suggest 3.64 million, in the case of South Africa. Also there is a field called refname. In source editor it looks like this:

In 2015,the total number of people in South Africa lacking access to an "improved" water supply was 3 643 000.<ref name=":1">

Please change the :1 (which is the default) to something else like "SAJMPWash". This is related to referencing and it's a bit complicated in WP, but if you want to know more please read here: WP:REFB EMsmile (talk) 15:14, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Another thing for all the pages: please consider adding wikilinks to improved water source, sanitation and improved sanitation (see how I've just done it for the South Africa article). Wikilinks are not to be added each time when the term appears but it can be added in the lead and also once or twice in the main article (especially if it's a long article).
