- Hi Tol,
- Thank you so much for the feedback! Is there any particular reference you found here that does not meet the requirements? This is an article about a company that had a dispute with the Competiton Bureau of Canada over its acquisition by the UK's largest building materials manufacturer. It made news in Canada at the time - if more news-worthy sources are necessary, I can provide them as citations.
- Please let me know! Tyzenx222 (talk) 17:26, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

- Hi there,
- I saw you redirect me to read WP:NCORP, however, I believe the following article satisfies the following example of notability:
- Examples of substantial coverage
- Examples of substantial coverage that would generally be sufficient to meet the requirement:
- A news article discussing a prolonged controversy regarding a corporate merger
- This is a business case involving directly the Competition Bureau of Canada in the building materials industry.
- Please advise on how to proceed, and thank you for the feedback. Tyzenx222 (talk) 19:37, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
- The sources you've given are WP:PRIMARY. You'll need to provide WP:SECONDARY sources. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 19:55, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for clarifying that the cited sources are the issue. Notably, all of the sources I have provided are secondary, apart from the one directly from the Competition Bureau of Canada which has been corrected. May I resubmit directly to you once more? Tyzenx222 (talk) 20:04, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

- Hi there,
- I am not sure I understand what the issue is here. These are all secondary sources, Fasken is not directly related to the companies involved in the Competition Bureau of Canada case - they are one of Canada's leading legal firms reporting on the issue given the large sums of money exchanged. The Globe and Mail I would argue does qualify as significant coverage given that they are one of Canada's largest news publications. Similarly, this applies to the Irish Times as well given that Kingspan is an Irish institution.
- Please help me understand what is incorrect here. Tyzenx222 (talk) 20:38, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
- The deal is documented on the Fasken website because Fasken's legal team advised on it. This means the reference is not from an independent source, and is a primary source because they are reporting on it as witnesses to the deal. The Globe and Mail may be a large news publication, but the coverage in the reference is just revenue and profit figures - there's no analysis or commentary. The Irish Times coverage is three short paragraphs, reporting the event but no analysis or commentary so is not significant coverage.
- What's your connection with the company? Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 15:42, 13 May 2022 (UTC)

[edit]- Hi there,
- I replaced the Fasken source; I did not know they were the legal advisors. I removed the Globe and Mail citation, and replaced it with a Yahoo Finance article with in-depth analysis on the topic. I removed the Irish Times coverage, and replace it with Reuters, which is one of wikipedia's Tier 1 SIGCOV's. What have I incorrectly submitted? Tyzenx222 (talk) 16:36, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
